Does anyone else have this problem?

I have been eating on track with my diet plan (calorie counting). I had a planned treat this weekend, a donut! I was very excited. But I think the high fat content made me sick :?: Does anyone else have this happen when they eat a high fat/dessertish type food after eating healthy for a long period of time? My body definitely did not like that donut.

stellarosa27 01-24-2011 10:23 AM

Yes. Especially when things are high in fat.

I had KFC once and it made me sicker than I ever want to be again.

Skinnycow 01-24-2011 10:40 AM

I had a piece of fried chicken last week. It didn't really make me "sick", but my stomach hurt really bad all day.

Princess of the KING 01-24-2011 11:19 AM

Yes! I notice if I go awhile without high fat foods and am eating on plan it really bothers me to eat high fat foods. I get physically sick. Lethargic, stomach ache and what not. It's miserable but another motivation to stay away from the foods and stay on plan!

This reminds me of Supersize Me... he was so sick the first week of eating McDonalds for every meal... By the end of the show he craved it though...

nickyj 01-24-2011 11:57 AM

yes. The smell of Mcdonalds makes me naseus now. I feel grossed out just putting it in my mouth.

ihavethemusicinme 01-24-2011 12:27 PM

I've had that problem a few times. I think it was Moes. I was craving Moes soooo bad so I ate it. It wasn't terrible but I did feel a little nauseous a few bites in. It has happened with other things too. And I quit eating ground up beef (Law and Order SVU's fault) and i tried to eat a burger one time an I couldn't finish it because I wanted to puke. I think I ate like 1/4th of it and then couldn't finish it.

Absolutly! i was watching tv the other day when a comercial for kit kat came on and i convienced myself i had to have one! i ate one of the little bars and it made me sick lol thats what i get though for breaking my good work!

I think its kind of crazy how the body gets used to being fed healthier so when you go back to something you used to eat all the time, even just alittle, it doesnt like it.

bananapancakes 01-24-2011 02:29 PM

When I eat bad food I'll get bathroom issues. :P

This is why I stay away from cheesecake. I love it...it's my favorite dessert...but bleck...I feel horrendus after it.

I've gone to cheesecake FF pudding...it's a good substitute...esp mixed with pumpkin.

PlaygroundLove 01-24-2011 03:18 PM

Definitely yes! I had a (planned) brownie earlier today--which I hadn't eaten in months--and I've been feeling supersick ever since.

Guess I'll be sticking with the occasional square of dark chocolate from now on!

I get real bloated with stuff like fast food or fried food, especially Wendy's for some reason. To the point that its actually painful! And for a few days. Strangely though I dont get it with sweet stuff, unless I actually eat enough to make myself uncomfortable. Stomachs are strange

NaturalStupidit 01-24-2011 06:07 PM

Absolutely! About 2 weeks ago my husband and I decided to go to dinner with my husband's cousins and his kids. We wound up going to Golden Corral (not the best idea, I know. . . but my husbands cousin AND his kids are very picky eaters so we let them pick where we went). I haven't had fried food in about 4 months. I had fried shrimp and oh my gosh! I was sooooo sick about a half hour after we ate up until the afternoon of the next day!

This, if I eat food that is fattier than what I'd usually eat, definite bathroom issues.
On that topic, there's this teppanyaki restaurant my boyfriend loves - I've only been there 3 times, and I admit, it's good - but within an hour of leaving, I need a bathroom so bad - I think the sauces are way too rich!
Same on Christmas day - my sister had made this delicious crab dip - but I think the combination of cream cheese, sour cream, crab etc...just too much for me and I spent a lot of the afternoon on Christmas day sitting on the toilet - ahah. Sorry for the TMI, it's the truth though.

I find that when I've bee really on plan for a while that disrupting with "bad" foods that I used to eat in large portions makes me feel sick.

We went out to eat with friends last weekend and bought a couple of desserts for the table to share. I had a few bites, and really enjoyed them, but after that I felt so full and just done.

A couple of months ago I would have eaten an entire dessert by myself.

luposlipaphobia87 01-24-2011 08:07 PM

Rainbow- That's exactly what happens to me. More incentive to eat healthy huh :o

rosekeet 01-24-2011 10:47 PM

I lost 20lbs in high school. The first thanksgiving after I started on weight watchers, I ignored points and ate whatever I wanted. I sure regretted it! I had a killer stomach ache that night and the next day!

anniexfares 01-26-2011 07:27 PM

I just feel so bloated and miserable after eating something unhealthy... along with regret of eating it! lol.

aasshhlleeyy 01-26-2011 08:58 PM

OMG yes I said I was allowed one cheat day a week and I think that has pretty much gone out the window now because I pay for it later.

krampus 01-26-2011 09:16 PM

Savory fast/fried food makes me bloat like a balloon and feel disgusting for 24 hours after the fact, even in tiny amounts. I had 4 chicken mcnuggets a few months back and it was just a world of pain for a whole day afterward.

lackadaisy 01-26-2011 10:49 PM

I can attest to the fact that this isn't even a bit a psychological effect... our bodies change. I was a raw vegan for a while, and after a few months of that, meat literally made me throw up. But you get used to everything... and it only takes a week or so to reteach your body to appreciate fast food. Don't let that happen! :p

Call Me Stephanie 01-26-2011 11:07 PM

Wow! I was JUST thinking this. I've been on my diet now for... a little over a week. I just finished eating a Peep marshmallow and thought "Man, this isn't as good tasting as I remember..." and now my belly is a bit peeved at me.
