I m stuck =(
SO.. I've been lingering from 150-158 for the past 3 weeks.
Some background informations about me: I work at home for now and I will be leaving the country to visit my fiance in 3 weeks. I started weight loss on August 2010 and lost 70ish pounds till now. I exercise a bit but not like running/gym, mostly walking uphill with my puppy. I eat around 1000-1200 calories per day sometimes I go over to 1400-1500. So all has been well up untill now. I realized my method was a bit extreme and probably resulted in some serious hair loss. So, this week instead of starving myself. I started to eat lunch. I still do the same amount of exercise(okay maybe more) and I m gaining weight SO fast. I've gained around 4 pounds in 2 days. I m pretty devastated.. I want to maintain a healthy diet and lose weight more gradually but it seems like if I eat ANYTHING, I gain weight. If anyone experienced this please help ;( Thanks in advance. |
First of all, well done on starting to eat more. Thats a really big thing for some people and you've done well to stick with it for 3 weeks, even when you've seen a gain. I think its normal for you to gain some weight back after being so restrictive for a while. How many calories are you eating now? And how have you bumped it up? If you have added more fruit, veg, whole grains etc and arent just munching down on mars bars now you should be doing fine :)

first of all, ty <3
I've been bumping my calorie intake to 1400-1500 and I do eat fruits(Apple/strawberry/blueberry) mainly. I m definitely a major major veggie lover, though I can't live without meat. I cut out all sugar/carb out from my life. I did start eatting some more rice. It seems when I go extrem for 1 day I manage to lose the weight I gained, but it would come back so fast the next day if I eat anything >< I m at a point where I realized I need to take it slow so I m trying to find the healthy/gradual weight loss point for me.. so far it's not working >< |
Yeah I love meat too :D
We're around the same height. How much are you working out? I think when I was around 152 pounds I was eating about 1350 cals on average a day. It might be good to keep at least some carbs in your diet, im sure they are good for something xD |

So I try to avoid carbs/sugar to make up for my desire for meat >< |
The physical fact that you have more food inside of you will add weight in itself, but stick with it. From reading your past posts I'm amazed you didn't pass out from hunger with the low calories you were eating. Your body will adjust and you'll see improvement again. Hopefully your metabolism hasn't slowed too much. I'm sure you'll be fine though =)
I'm glad to hear you've started eating again! |
