Nuts. I'm NUTS. :dizzy:

My DH, B-I-L and really good friend and her long-term BF will all be doing it.

I'm skurred!! LOL. I've lost 38lbs... She's just overweight, and has been in 5 or 6 5k's, so she's good... but DH and BF haven't done... anything! EEK!

Oh well. We shall see.

Anyone around these parts do a WD before? What was it like? Did you dress up?

angeluv 12-20-2010 10:06 AM

awesome! i've never done it and don't know if i actually have the willpower to do it but it looks incredibly cool and fun. Good luck and congrats on taking the step towards doing this

Krizstyling 12-20-2010 10:17 AM

vdander24 12-20-2010 04:31 PM

YOU GO GIRL!!! I just looked at the site, and it looks flippin amazing! For my area, it would be in April.... It definitely sounds interesting! Good luck!

fromthebox 12-20-2010 05:21 PM

You're going to love it! I did it in So Cal last year, you can run if it's your thing, or walk/light jog it and enjoy the obstacles (which I did last year and still finished in about 45 min) either way, it will make you feel invincible!:carrot:

audri8301 12-20-2010 05:44 PM

That looks so cool! Hope you have a great time!

misstraveller 12-20-2010 10:03 PM

Where are you at? And the race is in Logan, which is down by OU, in Athens. :)

AWESOME!

That's what my friend and I were hoping: That we could jump around and have fun, and make it fun and get to wear funny outfits, and get dirty, lol. And not run the whole thing. Like, I've never climbed over a car, so.. how long will it take me? Oh, I'm so glad someone did it! :D

NaturalStupidit 12-21-2010 08:31 AM

Cool!!! My sister in law did it last year and did great! She's trying to get me to sign up but I don't think I'm going to this year. I really don't think I could have the endurance NOT to be dead last. It looks like so much fun though!!!!

fromthebox 12-21-2010 08:42 AM

kateleestar - I have one regret from last year - that I didn't get down-and dirty crawling thru the mud under barbed wire- it was tall enough that i could bend and not sink in the mud. This year, we're going IN the mud.

NaturalStupidit - the way they run it- in groups spaced about 30 minutes apart- means there never really is a dead last. It's you vs the fire and mud and obstacles and you get a medal and a beer when you finish regardless if you were first. The only way to lose is to chicken out at the start gate!

NaturalStupidit 12-21-2010 09:39 AM

I'd be the one chickening out haha I'm really toying with the idea, I just haven't made up my mind yet.

Halfway between Toledo and Columbus. Do you know where findlay is? I'm an hour from there.

KayNicole 12-21-2010 01:26 PM

I am going to do one next year (I just missed it this year). I can't wait! Yay.

Oh, I don't know that I'll crawl through it.. I hope they have showers, lol.

And I'm glad there is no last. We got a 4:30 start time, and its in June, so I'm hoping it wont be blazing hot yet. I don't drink beer, so I'll give it to another, but.. still. I'm pumped!!

I hope to be down to like, 180 (AT LEAST!) by then. More normal looking, less big girl running through the mud, lol.

It's exciting. Were trying to train, but... We dont really know how. Did you do anything special?

hippieheart 12-21-2010 02:22 PM

I'm trying to convince my partner to go to the Ohio one with me.. we will see! Looks like so much fun
