Facebook weightloss profiles?

Hi All,

my friend is on the hcg diet and has an hcg weightloss profile on Facebook and so do many others on there that she is connected with. I'm not on any specific diet, just eating healthy and working out, I'm wondering if anyone has a weightloss profile on Facebook because I'm thinking of making one to hold me accountable- I'll post status updates of what I did each day etc... This site is great and I do get on here, but I feel that something that I can share frequent updates dates on will be helpful, if that makes sense?

Wow that's pretty cool. I don't have a weightloss facebook profile but I do update my own personal page everyday with what I did and a link to my workout blog. It TRULY holds me accountable because all of my friends all over the world read it and if I don't write one day during the week, they call me out on it!

I don't have a Facebook profile specifically for my weight loss, but I do always post when I'm going to work out. Its more of a "this is what I'm doing right now" as opposed to accountability, though. I'm not comfortable with ALL of my Facebook friends knowing about weight loss - I use my blog for stuff like that :)

Have you thought about a blog? I did that for a while and it served the purpose of having a place to post menus, workouts, etc... I posted the link in my profile and sig and got a lot of support from the folks here :)

i like the idea of making a different page! you're more likely to get encouragement if your friends on your new page are on the same journey as well. on your primary page, friends aren't AS likely to be supportive if you're consistently posting diet related info. love the idea!!!

Putting all of your weight loss on FB isn't for everyone. However, I HIGHLY recommend it. It does keep you accountable and I never have to worry if someone will notice. They make sure they comment. =) Haha, and sometimes, you get REALLY great messages from people you added from back in the day (high school, elementary etc) that you may not talk to but that you added anyway.

Today I got this message:

What up Kris how are you? lol Dont turn the computer off!We never were tight but i've known u since you were kg.I just want 2 say congratz on your life choices and ur doing a damn good job representing what our generation shld stand 4.I know I was an a** in HS but i give credit when its due keep pushing! c/o"99"

It is these messages that make me continue to post on FB. I haven't talked to this guy since we were in like 9th grade!!! Hello, I graduated in 99 so that is 10+ years! They truly inspire me EVERYDAY and they make me UNAFRAID to tell people that yes, I am on a path to a healthy lifestyle. That is NOTHING to be ashamed of.

Sitting at your desk eating a burger in fries? Yeah, way more embarrassing.
