Hey all! I'm new to weight watchers but have been on 3FC for about a month now, I was counting calories and it just wasn't working right for me so my mom and I talked about it and decided maybe I should try weight watchers. I'm still learning their site and only using the online program, but I still think I prefer these message boards, the style is more friendly!! Shh don't tell.

You are not alone! Even before WW switched to the new program, I thought the website and mobile site were a PIMA! They are not user friendly. But I think because of my attitude towards them, I use it less and if I used it more, maybe they wouldn't seem so foreign? But, this is all coming from a techy gal!

Yah, I don't mind the actual point counting part, that's not too much of an issue. But the message boards and juts kind of blah! I don't know if it's the site, the people, all of the above. But it's okay I'm more using WW for the tracking points and can stick with 3FC for the support.

How are you guys liking the new point system?

I kind of love the fact that I made myself an egg-white omelete last night that was 0 points. I'm already liking this new system better than the old one...

That's what my calculator said...

Or maybe it was 1 and I'm mis-remembering...but the point was my whole dinner was a lot lower than it used to be.

Just FYI for everyone: in the pocket guide, WW lists egg whites (3) as 1 point.

Argh.

Perhaps it comes from the fact that I plugged in the nutritional information in the calculator instead of searching for it...

And this is why I don't strive to use my activity points...they negate whatever I screw up in counting.

I am so not loving the new plan. For the first time since starting WW I've been having issues with hypoglycemia. It's great being able to eat so much fruit, and I've deff had a banana every day, but fruit doesn't fill me up for long. I feel like it's a lot more difficult to have filling snacks, and as much as I appreciate them trying to give an incentive to eat more protein, that doesn't work so well with my budget.

I'm scheduled to be in the clinic from 12-9 tomorrow, so I think I'm going to try to get to an early morning meeting then hit the gym. Other than some pretty excessive drinking on Saturday night, I've had a pretty good week, so I'm curious to see my weigh-in goes.

Ade, I hope things are going okay at school! Is this your last semester?

Stella, I am totally on the omlette for dinner bandwagon. I had a whole bunch of egg-beaters left over from last weeks baking madness (don't ask me why I felt the need to get a separate carton for each recipe...) and have had an omlette every day since. 1 cup = 3 points = A TON of food.

Mrs. D, did you wind up with the dining out guide? I finally registered for the etools, and am considering not getting anything at all...

Happy Wednesday everyone!

MrsGC - That's so totally going to be my dinner tonight. A big spinach omelete. I love breakfast for dinner.

So I had a turkey melt for dinner last night. I used etools to find something that would be similar. Well hello, 20 point sandwich. Which is fine, its why I work out and have weekly and activity points. And goodness, was it an amazing sandwich. I'm not using any more of my weekly points until Saturday, when I'm going out for BBQ with two of my favorite boys. Just the thought of cornbread will get me to Saturday

MsCoh - Sorry the new plan isn't going great for you! See how the weigh in goes. Honestly, I think if it isn't for you, going back to the old plan would be fine. It obviously worked! And I feel you on the budget regarding protein. I recently started hating chicken (came out of nowhere), I'm not big on seafood, and it seems most of the other options aren't low in points. I'm not big on breakfast food, so eggs are meh, too. And yeah, this is my LAST SEMESTER!!! I'm 100% focused on school, meaning I'm negative 100% focused on dieting...I'll get through it.
