KatVee: well, to be fair, the nice japanese chocolate companies invented a "made up" holiday so that chicks could get theirs too.. it's on March 14 and it's called White Day. but you will only get a present from a boy at that time if you gave him something on v-day. actually, the day that comes the closest here to what we know as valentine's day is christmas eve. since most people are not christians here, dec.24 has kinda become "couples' day". :p

I'm always up for a new challenge, so I'll think of where I'd like to be..hrm...
I'd like to be at 62kg, which is 136.6 pounds. That's just less than 20 pounds. Eep. Quite a big goal! But it's 11 weeks away, so it is do-able..we'll see! I've never actually done anything for Valentine's day (even though I've been with my boyfriend the last 2.5 years...but maybe we will next year. Who knows!! So my starting weight and goal etc: SW (30 November 2010): 70.2kg / 154.7 pounds. GW (14 February 2011): 62kg / 136.6 pounds. |
I'm in! Today's weight is 162, so hmm. I'd like to "no longer be overweight by then" so my GW is anything under 145. 17 pounds? I think it's doable!
P90x's weight training and cardio/kenpo vids are my exercise routines, as well as Slim in 6's ramp it up when my friend TOM comes to visit. Let's do this, ladies! |

I'm in! I'd like to set workout and eating habit goals and see where my weight takes me.. hope that's cool. =)
So I will: run 5x a week for at LEAST 20 minutes. eat more veggies, no more soda or fast food. EDIT to add: I realized I should note my current weight for tracking purposes. Today was 168.5. |

Hi all :) I’m in! 147.6 this morning. I want to be at goal already! I’ll be back with the plan later, but to lose the rest of my weight, I’ll have to lose 1.6lbs a week till Valentine’s.
This thread, along with day-to-day planning, will keep me on track. |
Kawaii- I totally understand. Feel free to follow along of course until you are ready to set a goal and join in. I am sure we will pick up some followers in January too. I just really wanted a long term challenge. I want to prove to myself that I can do it. I love hearing about how other places celebrate different things, thanks for sharing!
KatVee- I still can't believe I can run! I was just like you saying I could never run. I always wanted to but I would get shin splints and bone spurs like crazy. I went to the dr and picked up some custom inserts and my pains went away so I decided to try running again. I did the Couch to 5K plan and completed my first 5k last month! Stargzr- open ended goals are welcome too! :) For those of you with no dates... You can still join us!! By then you may have a date and if not who is holding you back from hitting the town and showing off your new sexy self. :) As for me I had a kind of weak start yesterday. It was a rest day for running and I didn't do the 30DS (got distracted with packing to move) so I have extra work in store for me today! :D Weight: 179 |
Feeling good about today. Completed my first day of 30DS. It has been awhile since I last did it and I forgot I have a weird Achilles thing going on during the static lunges. I modified it to a squat w/arm movements. I also added in some extra walks today.
Well I am not feeling sexy at the moment. I noticed a hair in my sports bra and when I pulled it out it was a long gray hair. :( Oh well, only more motivation to get my butt in gear. And yes I will be dying my hair for the first time soon. LOL |
LOVE this!! My hubby's bday is also in Feb so this is perfect for me! I just had my 3rd baby (she's 5 weeks old) and the pregnancy weight is gone but I'd like to lose 15-20 more. I carry my weight in my trunk (breasts and tummy) and I really would like to have a 28 inch waist. My waist to hip ratio now puts me at risk for heart disease even though I'm not overweight. And yeah, I wanna look extra sexy for my man and for next summer!!
I'm thrilled to be starting WW tomorrow! I have to have guidance or I go crazy and eat way too much. WW keeps me on track and forces me to make good choices. Can't wait to get to know you all more! ETA: I'm also going to start the 30DS as soon as I get the okay from my Midwife at my 6 week checkup. I'll be starting with level 1 (since I haven't done anything but light exercise in a looong time). I probably will only be doing 30DS for now. With 3 kids I'm lucky to get 20 minutes in!! :D |

Well my abs are hurting today after last nights 30DS. :)
Question: Are any of you ladies telling your husbands about your vixen challenge? I am thinking about leaving it a surprise. We almost never see each other since we work opposite schedules so I bet he wouldn't notice a whole lot until I throw on a dress or something sexy. My husband is one of those real observant men. ;) |

As soon as this cold goes away, I'll weigh myself. I know I'm retaining water from the cold and PMS, but the scale still scares me. I want to be the lower 160's by Valentines Day. I have no Valentine (and I pretty much hate the holiday) but I am going to Hawaii for work :) |
