The problem on my knees wasn't caused by the running, I've had it for years. They hurt constantly and all I can do is not ~aggravate~ them. That's why I'm worried. I have 2 weeks left in C25K, so I think I'll complete it and then start.
ngl, it killed my knees big time at first. But to be fair, I realized that I was doing the lunges wrong... all the work was in the knees, when it should have been in the quads... partly because my quads just weren't strong enough to do lunges yet.
I'd say go for it. Watch your form extra carefully with the lunges, and if there's any discomfort, stop doing lunges and just keep your HR up with something else until they're done. But don't give up entirely. I found that once I built some strength in my legs, the lunges stopped bothering my knees.
Now, trying to do a push-up on my knees on the other hand....... lol

oh im really worried about the push ups! last time i tried (on my knees) i could only manage three!
Ngl, I really hate push ups and they've always been something I've struggled with haha. I just completed L1D4 (did it early today because I've got a night class later) and I'm still pausing for five seconds to rest during both sets of push ups. I do ~10 (on my knees), take a breather (I move down so my hips are touching the floor and keep my hands flat on the floor, pushing up and stretching out my back and abs), and then start up again and finish them off. The amount I can actually do before resting has been increasing the last few days, so I think if you just stick with it, you'll see some progress. So if you can only do three, then only do three, take a breather and do another three!
Today I completed L2D6...it really kicked my butt hard today..I don't know if it was because I didn't feel good or what. I read that a lot of you are having problems with the pushups...thats auctually what I'm good at (these fat arms I guess come in handy! lol) but my problem are the lunges they KILLL my legs! Especially Level 1 the boxing while squatting! I can't believe I'm coming on on Level 3..I'm so nervous!

I'm starting level 3 tomorrow... I'm nervous!
Finally made it through level 2 without stopping. I still fall a little behind on circuit 3 strength. But not to the point to where I stop completely like before.

Put all our strengths together and maybe we can do the whole work out. XD The lunges are my favourite, my legs are always so sore the next day, but I feel a lot better doing them than anything else! Sorry you're not feeling well, feel better! And good luck with L3 when you reach it.
D1L3 today. I'm hoping once I get used to the different exercises I will like it better. As far as intensity, I didn't feel like I was going to die or pass out like I did when I started L1 and L2. Some of the exercises were pretty tough and I had to do the modified ones through part of it. However, I feel like it's something I can definitely do, and I am really looking forward to being able to say I completed the 30DS. Then I am moving on to 'Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism'
L1D5. Didn't get around to it until after midnight, but it totally still counts as a Tuesday workout because I'm doing it again tomorrow/later before school. I think I'm really starting to loosen up, it wasn't as much of a pain today as it was the first few days.
Earlier this month I completed level 1 of 30 day shred and then as I was about to move to level 2 had a back spasm re-emerge So a week off for that and this past week off for grad. school mid-terms, I will be doing at least 5 days of level 1 again starting tomorrow! The workouts tough, but I love it!
