LOVE NSV's like this!!! For years I dreaded going to the doctor because every ailment was always because "you're obese, you're overweight..." BLABLABLA. I couldn't go in for a TB test without being told the perils of my weight. That's just how military doctors are. I got used to it.
Anyway. The front page of my medical chart lists my current health risks. There are things like allergies, medications, etc there. The last entry on the list says "OBESITY" in big type. It always glared at me. I hated that damn thing!
Yesterday I went to the doctor to refill my allergy medication. It was a new doctor I'd never seen before. He flipped to the front page of my chart. Looked at it, looked at me, looked at it.... and said "That can't be right" and crossed it out! HA. I didn't want to sit down to go through the whole thing so I just nodded, smiled, took my RX and went on my merry way.
But it felt awesome
. Yesterday I weighed in at 169... which according to the BMI is 'NORMAL!'
