Fit4Lyfe 10-05-2010 04:00 PM

Hey No-Booty girls, I'm proposing a little challenge...

Okay, I don't have any booty and it sucks, but there is a way we can fix it...and I believe it courtesy of a woman over at workthatbody.wordpress (I'm sorry I can't post the link, but the forum won't let me) go ahead and look at her before and after pictures...she used to be flat as a board all around but then she started the right weight training and now she looks dynamite! So I propose a challenge:

It will start Sunday, October 10th, 2010 and all you have to do is post your current measurement, not your waist, but around the middle of the boo-tay and for the next month (so that's an end date of Sunday, November 7th) at at least 3 times a week, do a circuit of exercises target for that boo-tay (can't you tell I just like saying boo-tay?) I will be posting some along the way if you need help because trust me, I have been researching.

The rules are simple:
  1. Post the exercises you are going to do/want to do
  2. check in AT LEAST once a week
  3. post your starting measurement

That's it, so if you're down to get a little donk (:dizzy:) then I'm down.

let's get some boo-tay!

ETA: I'll be posting my starting measurement on Sunday, 10/10 as well as my plan for the week.

BassAckwards 10-05-2010 07:36 PM

I'm interested but I can't find where to see these pictures/program. Could you message me a link? Puh-leeaasse ... I need a booty desperately lol.

Krizstyling 10-05-2010 07:46 PM

It is SO SO SO hard for me to believe she got that booty naturally. I'm going to have to read her blog. LOL Maybe I'm just jealous. I dunno but her butt looks FANTASTIC!

I'm in a boot camp that meets 5x a week for an hour and our trainer always makes sure to focus on our butts lol and I've been going 7 weeks and haven't noticed any big difference yet. If I can have a butt like that in 7 months, then all of this is worth it. FORGET losing the belly, give me the butt! LOL

Fit4Lyfe 10-06-2010 12:35 AM

BUMP!!!!!!! Nobody else wants some booty back there?

blondeblueeyedbeauty 10-06-2010 08:42 AM

This is just the kind of push I need! I have been out of the gym for a while, and need to get back! I only will go two times a week, at my school's gym before class. My butt is flat :( A couple of exercises I like to build a badonkadonk: Stair master, Donkey kicks, and Squats. I can't see the link either, could you send it to me? I've never measured my behind, but I will have to get a measuring tape/some string and take some pics! Thanks for starting this thread, I'm excited!

Krizstyling 10-06-2010 09:49 AM

Donkey Kicks are the WORST but dang it do they feel great after you're done doing them! LOL

Fit4Lyfe 10-06-2010 11:37 AM

To all the ladies, I'll pm you her link since I can't post it yet! And BUMP!!!!

StuffedBunny 10-06-2010 11:41 AM

The site seems a bit shady to me. I don't trust that she has pictures of her face, and pictures of her butt...in thongs, of course....but no pictures of her AND her butt in one picture. And if you're trying to promote fitness and body forming, why take such obscene *** shots? Eh....plus I don't see much on working out...

The funny thing is, she used to have a very popular blog that I used to follow, but she started getting harrased, like seriously harrased by men and women so this blog has nothing compared to her old one...at any rate this was just a suggestion, and thanks for your input.

I agree. It's definitely a nice thought, that we could do exercises like that and find ourselves with a HUGE butt in 7 months. I mean I would love that. Unfortunately, it's not that easy.

MiniMo 10-06-2010 07:57 PM

I also have to express some skepticism - her bootay is nice and full without appearing "too muscular" - a sign that she has some nicely shaped adipose tissue there to fill it out well. For those of us with board butts, we could probably firm up and also add muscle, but I doubt we'd ever look like that short of getting some butt pillow implants!

I am definitely interested in hearing what sort of bootifying exercises we could do, however!

ToriJ 10-07-2010 12:19 PM

Ok, I can definitely say from my experience that you CAN have a butt! I come from a family of flat butt women (except for my sister hmmmm lol) I had a flat butt until 3 years ago when I started doing weighted exercise targeted for that specific area and BAM! I had a bootay! One of my girlfriends from high school couldn't believe it. I have to keep up the exercises serveral times a week or it will deflate haha, sad but true.

ToriJ 10-07-2010 12:23 PM

Oh and incase anyone is wondering what weighted exercises I do 3x or more a week.... 50+ step ups on a 14" step, "donkey kicks" with a 5lbs weight behind my knee, lots of squats and lounges holding a 5lb weight in each hand or placed on my shoulders.

Thank you Tori J.!!!!!!!!!!!!!:carrot:

You rock hardcore and have renewed my interest in this challenge.

Even if nobody else wants to join in, I really want to give it all I've got at least that way I can say, "yea that little bit of booty I do have, I worked my *** "on" (get it? as opposed to "off"...I know I'm a dork) for it.

Krizstyling 10-07-2010 02:16 PM

Fit4Lyfe - I think everyone in the thread wants to join in =) I just think that we were all commenting on that girls webpage not being realistic.

It is DEFINITELY possible to get a butt if ours are flat! We can at least raise it and make it perky again!

I am already noticing changes in mine and I've only been at it 7 weeks. I think in a few more months I will be very very pleased with it =)

MiniMo 10-07-2010 03:03 PM

Krizstyling is right, I think everybody wants in on this challenge!

I'd love to hear some bootay exercises I can do at home, since I don't really go to the gym right now, and I do all my working out in front of the tv. If anybody has them, please share!! (Donkey kicks and squats and lunges is what I'm hearing.)

blondeblueeyedbeauty 10-07-2010 05:01 PM

So.... I finally took some pics today.... Glad I did, brings me back to reality:( Even though my butt is small.... It looks extra small because of my "back fat" or to be more specific, my lower back fat. I hold most of my weight in my midsection, which is what I'm assuming many of you with no butt hold the weight in as well. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to trim this??? I'm not sure if there are any exercising I should focus on, or just cardio. All of the meat that should have gone to my booty, went to my chest, so my posture is pretty crappy... Any suggestions for that? I don't have a lot of time to go to the gym, and when I do, it's only about twice a week.

Minimo, Yes, donkey kicks, squats and lunges are great. I've heard though that walking lunges are not good for you knees, I would suggest doing them in place. In addition to the traditional lunges, the leg I put back, I set it on a bench, or somthing aprox. 1 foot off the ground... an intense lunge.

Squats: One variation : works your legs, butt and core, stand with a medicine ball behind your back up against a wall, If you want, you can additionally hold a weighted ball in front of you.
Another variation, to increase stability/balance.... Flip over a "half" medicine ball, not sure what they're called, balance on the flat part while doing squats. - this takes me about 10 reps to get stable.

Aww thanks, I was beginning to get discouraged that I was going to have to get bootylicious by myself (:?:)

AND I really love her blog (at least her old one) she has made be a believer that I can get the figure I want if I work hard at it!

Well...Sunday is the kick off...I am going to start posting some good exercise videos I find and then we can work on getting some butt!

I have a large chest too 34 DDD. Sounds like you need to strengthen your back and shoulder muscles! Try some super man arches and if you have free weights: Lean your stomach over a foot stool raising your arms out in front of you with wieghts in them slowly raising and lowering them to the floor without resting them on the floor; pulsing for a few reps at the top will also burn good! You can also try some rowing. Have a seat, lean forward a bit and pull your arms (with wieghts in hand) from your feet to your butt to where your elbows pass your midsection. I hope that isn't too fuzzy of a description!

blondeblueeyedbeauty 10-07-2010 07:44 PM

Thanks so much Tori, I will definitely try those!

jaimie1980 10-07-2010 10:27 PM

I like BIG BUTTS and I can not lie.....lol! Send me the link! I want to see! And I want a boo-tay too!

ValRock 10-07-2010 10:41 PM

I'm confused... to me it just looks like she gained a lot of weight. I HAVE a bootay like that I'm trying to lose!!!

StuffedBunny 10-08-2010 10:09 AM

I read that the best cardio machines to get a nice a$$ are of course the stairmaster and also walking on the treadmill with a high incline.

Well then perhaps you're in the wrong thread :o? Because to ME that body is hot!!!

Okay I think I can post links now...her we go:

Work That Body

And I will begin posting some workout vids and articles and stuff this weekend.

I am firm believer that anything is attainable with hard work, even a nice round bottom and after seeing my weight start to come off, I know I cna grow some booty.

Matilda08 10-08-2010 04:33 PM

I know for sure that you can build a bootie in fact I am doing it as well. Ive always had hips and curves but when it came to my behind it didnt always poke out as much. Now its coming along. U can work any part of your body and build muscle now as far as the site goes I have no idea if its real *should shrugs*

blondeblueeyedbeauty 10-12-2010 11:26 AM

Where did everybody go??? Hope everyone had a great weekend... Time to check in and get our butts to the gym!

Fit4Lyfe 10-12-2010 11:58 AM

Oh My God thank you!!!!! Okay, so I'm in this brutal bootcamp (it was a special $15 for the whole week) and now I wake up at 5 AM and I don't get home from school and work until around 10 and then I don't sleep until 11 Pm, needless to say I am a little exhausted (but I'm fine) so I will start posting some videos I found with some good booty-enhancing exercises. Watch out for them!

blondeblueeyedbeauty 10-12-2010 12:05 PM

Wow... 5 AM!!!! I used to do that before school to go to the gym, but I've been slackin! Can't wait for the videos

Fit4Lyfe 10-12-2010 12:18 PM

Here we go... (okay so I can't post actual videos...lame. so Here are the links)

Kim Kardashian-inspired Workout #1

This guy rocks!

Here's this dude again

Frog Squats

Zuzana from bodyrock.tv

Okay so that's a start, of course there are your standards:

A Proper Squat

A nice set of lunges

One-legged deadlift

Next set of videos will focus on an actress who's bum I admire greatly and her workout routine: Jessica Biel.

Let's sweat ladies!

Krizstyling 10-12-2010 01:41 PM

Fit4Lyfe - YAY! I do boot camp too! Every morning 6:45am - 7:45am and then go to work. After a few weeks I had so much energy and was truly in a great place! I hope the same happens for you!!!

Oh My God I hope so too because right now I am sooooo tired! lol. I think it's because I don't sleep enough. IDK, but she really works me out and I feel spent when I'm done. Has bootcamp really helped with weight loss?

Petite Powerhouse 10-12-2010 05:55 PM

Just wanted to say that I do the one-legged deadlifts (with a barbell and with dumbbells), the one-legged squats (without chairs: with a weight bench and a barbell), all kinds of weighted squats and lunges, and many other such exercises, and I kid you not, I actually have a round bottom for the first time in my life. I realized it a couple of months ago when I tried on a pair of jeans without back pockets (something you should never wear when you have a relatively flat bottom, as I am used to having) and thought, what the? They look good! Now it's totally obvious to me and other people, too. I have a friend who used to tease me about having no rear end and even she is amazed. These things totally work. I am sold. For years I used the machines for my lower body, but about six or seven months ago I changed to free weights and lots of deadlifts and squats and lunges and the transformation in my rear end and my hamstrings has been amazing! I honestly can hardly even believe it.

Awesome...just the motivation I needed!

That sounds awesome. You just gotta keep doing research on it and it really does help keep me motivated. looking up anyq uestions I have on google and typing in "studY' afterwards shows me new studies done on different things. It's really interesting to me lol!

But as for your question, YES! More than anything I notice that my clothes fit better, my legs are way sexier and it is giving me definition in places I have NEVER had definition. INCLUDING shaping my body into a very feminine mold. I love love that. If this has happened in 2 months I can't imagine what it will look like in 6 more months!

Awesome, I've only been at it for like a week and of course I don't see any changes yet (I am totally impatient) but today (day 4) for the first time, the hour-long workout seemed to fly by, like I couldn't believe it was over when she said it was, so I know it must be getting easier.

I can't wait to see where I'll be in a few months!

aml 10-15-2010 02:01 PM

i'm kinda late but so into jumping in with this thread

i am also lacking booty. sad but true. but those videos you posted seem awesome fit4lyfe, i'm totally gonna try them. my booty is only like 42", comparatively with the rest of my body that means X-TRA FLAT so let's pump it upppp :D

Fit4Lyfe 10-15-2010 06:09 PM

Hey aml, I'm sooo glad you have decided to join. I've been working my butt "on" (get it? I know, lame.) in bootcamp and we did stairs today and the only reason I got through them is because I said to myself. "these are good for my butt, these are good for my butt, these are good for my bu..." and I almost died but can I tell you I already see a little definition back there? Just at the bottom and that's because she makes us do an insane amount of squats and lunges every day. So yea, I'm tired just thinking about it.
