I've found that 2011 new WW plan thread here on 3FC. If the rumors are true, this'll be interesting... ;) Potatoes should be free,!!! Silly starchy-weakness that I have, but hey, I better keep learning or my brain'll turn to mush anyway, right? :D Great time for a new plan for me, as my weightloss has nearly completely stalled.

The free-fruits thing is what's really got my attention. Omnomnomnom, Kiwi fruits and watermelon! But it'll suck since I have their WW scale if the way to calculate points changes.

So Nov/Dec, eh? I better call up a local WWs and see what they'll tell me. I'd like to start with the rest of the group and not be behind or too early, ya know.

It's down to a debate between new pants as the ones I have now are getting too baggy or saving up for WW meetings, :lol3:

Most places are starting the program in meetings that occur the week after Thanksgiving.

zanheltangia 10-23-2010 08:25 AM

Nice Nice. Well, I hope there's fun planned for your guys' weekend? Mine is iffy at the moment... :dizzy:

Ms GenghisCohen 10-23-2010 09:43 AM

Hello all. As excited as I am about the new program, I'd really like to be done losing by then... I was up a lb at my WI this week, which was pretty disappointing. But, overall it was a good week. Starting clinics reminded me that I actually do still want to be a vet, and that school isn't just something I happen to be doing to torture myself.

Zan, my vote is for new pants. I feel like having the smaller fitting clothes really makes you feel like your smaller body is a permanent thing. And definitely eliminates some pants-falling-down anxiety. Is game day in jeopardy?

Tamia, one of my definite plans for the afternoon is to make some sort of pumpkin flavored dessert. How do you think your dip would tasts inside a low fat graham cracker crust?

Ugh... someone motivate me to go running again? I am feeling so lazy and just want to lay in bed all day...

tamia 10-23-2010 01:19 PM

It would be delicious although it is not super thick so you'd have to spoon it out, but i've been dunking 100 calorie packs of Lorna Dunes into it, which is AMAZING!

Morning lovelies! Okay, so it's 1pm, but I'm just now getting up and around (if still in my PJs). School is still nuts. I'm so stressed out, and it's taking a toll on my body. Thursday night I slept for 5h15m (per my handy dandy gowear fit), then I got home from work around 1 and slept about four more hours...then slept ten hours that night...followed by another four hour nap yesterday afternoon, and about 11 hours last night. I don't know if it is the stress, TOM, headache related or what. And my eating schedule has been off because of all the sleeping... But I seriously need to kick my butt in gear. I've got another paper this week and another test. This test consists of 10 essay questions (she said to bring two blue books), so I'm really stressing....and my face is breaking out, that's weird for me.

NSV, I actually tracked every single calorie consumed this week. I started the week out by going way over, but in the past if I went way over, I just wouldn't track. At least this way I am accountable.
I still haven't mastered the whole move my butt dilemma. Am I just meant to be a lazy bum? Perhaps.
I finished Jillian's Master Your Metabolism. She is just as extreme diet-wise as she is exercise-wise. Like she believes in organic everything. Nothing processed, no soy milk...the list goes on. I almost want to write her a letter "dear Jillian, you really spoke to me. The problem is, I'm a poor college student [especially now that I spent so much $ on my new gadgets]. Please fund my quest in living organically. Together we can save this planet. Love always, Ashley" ...think she might take me up on the offer? HA.

zan - I agree, potatoes should be free..I love 'em so much. I, too, bought the scale because it went on sale at my meeting...oh well, at least it gives us grams and ounces!
coh - keep on trucking! It's got to be hard being so close to goal, I hear the number gets stubborn. Starting clinics, that sounds awesome! It's always fun when you actually start getting to do something related to what you want to be...
misstraveller - congrats on your loss!!

Well my dears, I have to admit, I've been using you to procrastinate. Got to get back to my essay writing. *sigh* Have a good one!

Ms GenghisCohen 10-25-2010 11:49 PM

Ade, I feel you on the wanting to eat everything pure and organic and rainbows and flowers etc, but being on the student poorness plan. Maybe Jillian can start some kind of subsidy program for our kind?

Tonight I made the pumpkin oat bread that was in today's WW email and it was delicious! I did it muffin cups instead of one big bread and lowered the cooking temperature to 325, and added 1 tsp of vanilla. The date loved it, took 6 home with him, and tomorrow I'm bringing the rest to dermatology so I can make friends and influence people. Highly recommend!

misstraveller 10-26-2010 12:43 PM

Ms Genghis - Ooh would you mind posting the recipe? That sounds SO good! What were the points per serving?

Ade - WTG with the tracking :carrot:

Zan - Hope your weekend was good. When I get the info i promise to pass it along...

UGH, not doing so well today and yesterday. I have stalled. Guess I should add some exercise in, that might move things along, so to speak :) But man that chocolate chip cookie at lunch was totally good, as were the ranch potato chips... ACK!! Anyone know any good low points/0 point dinners?? :)

KayNicole 10-26-2010 01:10 PM

I had an off plan day yesterday and boy did I go off plan. Someone brought in Halloween candy and the little voice in my head must have been on break because I had no reservations about eating 5 pieces of candy! Today I have had 2. I haven't been running in a week. Ugh. Not doing great.

OK Everyone! I need to get cooking again! Can you all share your favorite recipe? I need some cooking inspiration! :D

zanheltangia 10-27-2010 01:51 AM

Ugh. Roommates decided to have a card night with out a word of warning and they're still up with three friends gaming... less than five hours until work, yeah, I am so not getting any sleep this morning. :( This SUCKS!

Which brings me here, haha.

No specific recipes to share that I haven't already, ;)...

Maybe I should go out there and ask how long they are plannin' on torturin' little ol' me. But why bother really? I just get the usual, "I'm sorry" and nothin' changes. I think I'll craigslist my last piece of gym equipment and find a different room for rent, maybe a married couple in their fifties or something, they'd be less likely to be up on a weeknight past 2am.

zanheltangia 10-27-2010 11:08 AM

Two hours of sleep, Woohoo! That's two hours more than I had expected :carrot:.
Yay for the sound of a floor fan and cranking up Placebo on the computer just loud enough to drown out the voices!

So Happy Wednesday, all!

Kay, I still haven't bought any Halloween candy. I don't know if I need to, that is, I might be able to sneak away this Sunday for another Game Day (and yup, I made it to game day this weekend, OMG YES! :D), so if I go to game day, I could probably save a lot of calories as left over halloween candy is DANGEROUS!

Thanks, Miss, that would be awesome! I'd like a bit of Intel before committing to a change, ;)
When I am low on points I usually toss together a nice amount of lettuce, veggies, and a little cooked chicken breast. If I am light with the spritzer, the 2 to 3 pts of chicken usually settles the low-point dinner dilemma.

Coh, I second the recipe request! :D

Good luck with the essay, Ade, wow, you are busy!

ade903 10-27-2010 12:59 PM

Good morning and Happy hump day!
It's been a pretty good week for me. This will be my first weigh in ever that I'm certain I'll have a loss. I'm still on track with calorie counting. And I might have seen 169.0 on the scale this morning, which is "normal" for my height. Weigh ins are higher, so I'm not dancing yet, but the lowest I've seen on my scale before was 171.8. I'm eating mostly veggies and fruit, some beans, chocolate...I've been actually really good. School isn't killing me right now, either.
Zan - oy, 2 hours? good luck today!
Kay - I haven't been cooking lately. I've literally been eating stuff that is plain. If I start (when), I'll pass along some recipes.
miss - you'll get back on track! Sometimes, we just have bad days.
coh - that sounds so good!

Well, got to get some work done before I'm off to class. Oh joy. Have a good one!

zanheltangia 10-27-2010 02:08 PM

Only 1.5 hours left of work before I push a casserole into the oven and nap for 45 minutes, haha! :D

Glad to hear that you are having a good week, Ade, that's great! :D

zanheltangia 10-27-2010 07:40 PM

Yeah, I have totally lost my willpower.
This Suuuuucks!
I need to force myself back on track and I keep slipping up.
I am getting too comfortable with where I am at now, and I shouldn't be.
If I'm not careful, I'm going to backtrack to where the pounds really start adding back up.

Well. That's where I am right now.

ade903 10-27-2010 08:05 PM

I feel you zan. That's where I have been since August 26th. I'd be motivated, lost half a lb, then get back of track, gain 1.5 lbs. Rinse. Repeat. I don't really know what clicked or why I'm back on track right now. So I don't have any answers! Perhaps try maintaining? Even if you have some bad weeks ahead, keep coming on here. I know if I didn't have you guys, I would have "quit" long ago. And zan, you lost 57.4 lbs. That is amazing. I'm so proud of you and I'm sorry your willpower is lacking. We can do this!!! :)
