Argument with boyfriend. Prove him wrong!

So my bf is a big mountain biker, and I'm a big runner. We're both loosing weight and getting in shape. So we're always talking about our nutrition, what we're eating to power up before our work outs, or weight, etc. etc.

He eats mc d's before a ride (where he burns around 2,000 calorie) as well as his super special sports drink stuff. I'm trying to convince him that mc donald's is still bad for your heart and health even if you are burning off all the calories. Any one have any evidence on this, or am I wrong? I eat healthy fats or a power bar, a combo of healthy carbs/protein before a long run - not mc donalds!

Any articles I can show him? Help me prove him wrong :)

Show him the documentary "Supersize Me"

Omg, what an eye opener.

I wish I could remember what the show was called, I think I saw it on PBS. But they took these twins who were a healthy weight, very active, etc. They took all their stats, and then they did an ultrasound of their arm to watch the blood flow.
Then they gave them a huge fast food meal, and did the same thing. And on the ultrasound it showed within minutes their blood flow had slowed, but there heart was working a ton harder to push their blood through. Just by eating one meal. I wish I knew what it was, but it was an eye opener for me that fast food is bad for everyone. Doesn't matter who you are, or what you weigh.
Wish I could tell you what it was! Ugh this is going to bug me now!
