Wednesday! The work week usually goes by pretty quick after Wednesday, so let's just get through today!
I got on the scale this morning. That giant, delicious mexican dinner I had Monday night did not treat me well. I should have known better. No gain, but certainly no loss. That's OK.. I think i will weigh in again on Friday and see if there is any change. I may still be retaining water. The weather is amazing here. I went for an awesome run last night. There was a cool breeze blowing in my face, and I didn't feel like I was going to die when I got home. I loved it. I wish we could have this weather year around. I'm already dreading when it is too cold to run outside.. what the heck am I going to do then?? Jenn-I'm definitely trying that taco stew this weekend. It sounds soo good. I used to make a taco soup and I'm betting it is very similar. Rainbow-Get out there and exercise! You can do it! Mind if I ask what kind of exercise you do? Maybe switch it up a little bit everyday so you don't dread it so much! I know if I do the same thing over and over, I start to despise working out because I get so bored with it! |
Casey - its definitely a good, freezable recipe. I like freezable recipes as I can just grab and go for lunch if I don't have leftovers from the previous nights dinner.
My weigh in today was ok. Down .8 from last week. To reach my goal by the end of the year, I have to average 1.27 lbs each week starting next week. I sucked down so much water yesterday that I peed about every 45 minutes. I felt like I was pregnant again. When I was preggo, I would pee anytime I passed a bathroom whether I really needed to go at that moment or not. It was kind of "premptive peeing". :) This weekend I will be making Chicken Marengo (chicken breasts cooked in garlic, chicken broth and a can of whole, undrained tomatoes.) Then on Sunday we are having Texas Beef Sandwiches (a healthy version of a french dip.) I'll let you guys know how they turn out. |
Ugh...so I am way grumpy today and dont feel i've been on the band wagon to really lose this weight. I dont know if its just like a depression thing or lack of sleep or what. Anyway TOM should be rearing its super ugly head any day now....super crampy today and I have to get my IUD swapped out tomorrow since it was coming out last week when I had my biopsy done.
Someone PLEASE pull me off my butt and make me work out!! Jenn- YAY for .8 down:) I'm sooo bloated today that I was up likie 4 lbs from yesterday haha |

casey: It's not so much that I get bored exercising, I actually like it when I'm doing it, it's just the whole getting myself into doing it haha. I do a combination of things, workout dvds (I have a few), treadmill, stationary bike. So today I can't quite believe it myself, but I got up early again to exercise! I had a staff meeting at 8.45am, and even though I don't have work for the rest of the day, I do have a dentists appointment to get my crown put in, so I knew I would really not want to exercise after that. Forced myself out of bed slightly too late so I only logged in 25 minutes on the stationary bike, but I did a pretty hard program so I think that's ok! Not looking forward to the dentist at all, but I am looking forward to my treats afterwards - I've been saving my treats up for today - get to relax and watch True Blood and Drop Dead Diva! Meeting up with my boyfriend in the city for dinner tonight, my choice, something fast and cheap so I'm hoping my brain comes up with something that he'll enjoy and that won't kill my calories. We also have book club tonight, it's at a bar so I might have one drink, but I also might not since I'm driving anyway. Still have to finish the book today! Hah! I can't believe it's Thursday and August is nearly over! The weeks are flying by. I'm starting to get annoyed that I can't see any of the results but I know I feel better and happier and healthier so I guess that is worth something. But the stubborn part of me just wants to SEE a difference in my body! |

I could not run last night. I felt like my body was screaming at me "PLEASE, NOT TODAY!" I got out there and as soon I started running my legs got really tense. My whole body was sore and achy and I just couldn't do it. I ran part of the way but walked most of it. Tonight I'm going to do some pilates and do some major stretching and give my body some rest.
I am so sleepy at work today. I took a muscle relaxer last night. I have problems with my neck from a car accident when I was 16. I'm pretty sure I pulled that muscle and it was really bothering me. I try not to take my muscle relaxers because they make me soo groggy the next day. I took it at 6 PM last night and I still just feel completely out of it. It helped my neck though. I have an appointment with the chiropractor today YAY! I should be 100% by tomorrow! Hope everyone is doing well. My scale is not budging, but I'm eating healthy and working out more than I have in a loong time. So I guess that's what matters. I just get reeeally frustrated with the scale. |
Ok so I finally got a workout in yesterday and I am paying for it today....I am SORE! But its a good thing...I needed to kick something into gear already. Had my IUD swapped out today for a new one since the old one was falling out. Been crampy yesterday and today so TOM should be coming any moment. Eating was on plan yesterday though so I am feeling pretty good just extremely tired.
Definitely not weighing myself til TOM is completely over and maybe just maybe I will be super close to 200!! crossing my fingers |
Good morning, ladies! Here we are at Friday Eve again, we've nearly made it through the week! Any awesome weekend plans? I'm heading to the springs Sunday with some friends and their kids, should be a fun, calorie-burning day :)
I've been so lazy this week, with moderating my diet and working out. My goal today is drink one glass of water (here at work that equals a 16 ounce dixie cup) before each meal, and get in some serious sweat time tonight. I was bummed this morning that here it is Thursday and I've nothing to show for myself, but this is just another day in a long line of days. I can snap to it today and feel better by tomorrow, and see the scale move by the next day (probably.. I'm thinking I have some water retention hanging on at the moment). |
ok i neglected to share what i've done for a week..knitting i made 2 thongs and a set of flower pasties. i'll be making another one later today if i can stay awake. plus i'm working on a tanktop for me (i did finish a pair of socks for me)
i'm finally getting out for some me time once a week except this week i'm not since my friend has her son's rehearsal dinner tonight. in 10 days will be my 9th wedding anniversary....good gawd where'd my 20s go??!! |

Went to Jazzercise last night and really sweated as the AC was not working, so it was close to 80 degrees. Today I have a work lunch at Cheesecake Factory. I've already scoped out the menu and will be getting the lunch sized Cobb Salad minus the blue cheese (yuck!) The calories, fat and carbs are reasonably low, but lots of sodium, so I will be sucking down the water. On another note, my ring finger has dropped about a size (maybe a little more) and now my wedding rings move all around all day. So much so that they have rubbed the top of my finger raw. :( It hurts. Casey- my scale isn't really moving either. I had a 4 pound loss a few weeks ago that put me at 164 and I think it was a fluke. I went up to 165 the next week and have just got back to 163.6. So I feel like i'm stalled, although if that one weigh in was a fluke, then things are still going ok. |
