Default Does anyone watch Huge?

I just started watching the tv show Huge, and I actually really like it. I looked around a little, but was surprised to see that I couldn't find any other threads about it...so I was just wondering, what do you all think? Has anyone else been watching?

My only complaint is that even in a "fat camp" setting, it's still the thinnest girls at the camp who seem to attract the most attention. I don't know that that necessarily sends the right message...

I saw a preview for it, and I WISH I could watch it, but we are cheap-os and don't have cable...wah wah wahhhh.

Do you know if it's available online?

It is! I haven't had an account for long enough to link you to it, but episodes are available both on the abc family website and on Hulu (although I think Hulu only posts one episode at a time--the most recent one).

I wrote about this in a chat not too long ago... I like the idea of it... sorta...

I've watched it every week... my only real complaint is that the name of the show is completely ridiculous... Whether its a play on words or not...its fat camp...huge has to refer to the people or thats what people will think...

also how realistic is it...these people are actors...they will stay fat at fat camp...so how does that really show how fat camp works?

also how long can a show about summer camp last?

Hahaha, Haley, I was thinking the same thing. Shouldn't they be having weigh-ins or, you know, getting skinnier?

Also, summer camp shows don't exactly work come fall...maybe it's just supposed to be a summer mini-series? I'm not really sure.

I love it - I think it's really well-written, which is no surprised considering it's the same writer who did My So-Called Life doing Huge, along with her daughter.

For me, I was a fat teenager, so a lot of what they're going through on the show resonates really strongly with me. Not so much the lead girl, but a few of the other characters have personality traits that make me think, "oh, that WAS me at fourteen!"

I watch Huge every week, but it has a little too much angsty teenager for my taste.

I watch it every week as well! I love it. With the teen angst, it seems pretty realistic in my opinion. It reminds me of my own high school aged experience, except from the other end of the spectrum. I love the way they've approached things with body positivity, and I love that there's a strong female lead who doesn't take crap from anyone.

I saw the first episode and have missed out on the others. What night does it come on? I will be sure to tune in.

Comes on Monday nights I've seen every one so far - I'm hooked. I can't wait for George to finally blatantly fall in luuurvveee with Amber!

I know that you're supposed to be the most "invested" in Amber and George (since they're the most conventionally attractive), but is it weird that I'm mostly just hoping Wil and Ian work out? Hahah.

Hey, I'm in New Zealand and often use casttv.com (I think that's it) to watch shows that aren't available yet in silly little NZ! Hope that helps!
