I think maybe for me, it's just that I get tired by the time plank jacks come around because I have used up all my "plank energy" doing the squat thrusts lol... I have trouble with the abs on circuit 3 too - the oblique plank things - i just get totally wore down in the plank position.

So, today, I did level 2... I am pretty worn out from this past week. I am going swimming tonight... I think tomorrow I may need a rest day and just go for a walk with my kids or something instead, because the past few days I've been feeling pretty weak from all the activity!

Well I have been lazy and went back to level one and still haven't been pushing myself. I feel so guilty about it but I still can't seem to really get my butt moving again. I am set on doing level 2 and pushing myself when I get home from work today!!

I need a nudge, Shreadheads. Seriously...

I am more than physically ready to move on to level 2... but mentally, I'm scared to death. I've been ready since day 6... I did day 9 yesterday, still on level 1. (Moved up to 5 lb weights to keep it interesting, though.) I tell myself that I'm going to split up the 30 days evenly aka: 10/10/10, which would give me one more day on level 1...but I know that's not the real reason I haven't moved on yet...

I've seen level 2... it scares me... all that core stuff which is where I am most weak. I know if I'm persistent I'll get good at it, just like I'm now awesome at level 1... I just need some encouragement to get on it...

Help!

You can do it!! They have beginner moves on level 2 just like they do on level 1 so don't be discouraged. just do your best. you know if you are sweating at the end then you did good. :-)

I'm amazed at people using 5 and 10 lb weights... i use 2 lb weights.... lol

I am skipping today. I hiked downtown and then back and there's this HUGE hill on the way back up that slaughtered my booty, it was rump roast by the time I got home, lol! So I am taking a rest day.

singforthedayx 07-24-2010 03:59 PM

Haha, I sweat no matter what I do. But 30DS always makes me look like I've just gotten stuck in the rain... LOL

I did it though. I was a little lame on the planks, that was to be expected, but I honestly did better with it than I thought I would. It was certainly better than when I first did L1.

Here's the aftermath... holding onto the wall because I could not support myself anymore. lmao...

-Warning ... not attractive - (haha)

Completed day 18 today . . . Wednesday I start level 3!!

Sing, you look a lot better after the 30DS than I do! I look like a train wreck lol

I have this dvd, bought it over a year ago, but im not going to lie, i HATE workout dvd's. they just are not my cup of tea.

yet I know I need to do more than cardio to achieve the body i want, i was curious would this be effective at all if I only did it like twice or three times a week? I just can't see myself doing it every day, or even five days a week.

cb1 07-26-2010 12:59 AM

i did level 2 again today. but i was so exhausted by the 3rd circuit that I just practiced doing a plank pose instead of the plank jacks. my arms were totally shaking though lol!

CMR 07-26-2010 04:28 AM

I've got like $15 worth of eBay bucks so I'm tempted to buy it, but you guys have me completely intimidated, LOL! Sounds too scary to get through...

kateleestar 07-26-2010 07:58 AM

Did my 30DS on Thursday and Friday and then yesterday (Sunday) morning. WHEW. I'm on level 2, and while it HAS gotten easier, I don't think I'm ready for level 3 yet. Maybe another week on 2 and we will try it.

I'm anti-plank. ;)

And CMR? It's worth it! I started it like, 3 weeks ago (just about) and I KNOW it helped my drop the 10lbs I lost from 6/18 - 7/23! It's worth it. And if you can't take JM, mute her!! :D

singforthedayx 07-26-2010 09:27 AM

CMR - Scary? Yes. Worth it? Totally. Once you get into it you're gonna love it - trust me!

Mickey- No worries, I don't do it every day either. I can't because it makes me sore and you're not supposed to train when you're sore. It's still been really effective, it'll just take longer than 30 days for you to finish. I like to alternate. Do one day of 30 DS and then go to the gym for cardio the next day...

ade903 07-26-2010 10:26 AM

Oy. I did this on Saturday. My body is so sore. Couldn't do it yesterday, but gonna try again today. You ladies are both crazy and my idols ;)

LockItUp 07-26-2010 03:32 PM

I'm getting very tempted to buy this! I love Jillian and I would love something new to throw into my workout mix.

KayNicole 07-26-2010 05:35 PM

OK confession time. :( I never did that level 2 workout I swore I was going to do after work last Thursday. In fact... I haven't done a 30DS workout in 5 days. :censored: I am pretty mad at myself for not only falling off the 30DS wagon but my diet wagon as well. I am back up 4 lbs so I AM BACK! :sigh: I am starting my 30 days over!

cb1 07-26-2010 08:56 PM

Well... i had to pop on here and say Hi... and I'm about to do the 30DS to distract me from eating more dinner. lol. The fam. is chowing down on some bbq pulled pork sandwiches. I had my sandwich, beets and peas and now I just need to say NO to having seconds, because otherwise I'll go over my calories for the day. So, no to food, YES to Jillian kicking my butt ;)
