New thread! Yay.

Ms GenghisCohen- The Key Lime Pie you were talking about interests me. Do you mind posting the recipe? How many points was it?

Morning ladies! I seriously cannot believe it's July. The summer is flying by.

I did my first W3 C25K run last night, and it actually felt a lot easier than the W2 plan. Has anyone else experienced this? I decided to register for the AVMA 5K, which is at the beginning of August. I'm a little nervous about running in Atlanta in August, but I figure it will give me something to train for, and if it's too hot I'll walk.

Rayosun- The pie is:
1 reduced fat graham cracker crust
1 can FF sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup key lime juice
zest from one lime
1 tub of FF whipped topping (~2 cups)

You just mix everything together, put it in the crust, and stick the whole thing in the freezer for a couple hours. I garnished with some lime slices and a tiny bit of whipped topping. It's 4 points for 1/10th of the pie, and it was delicious!

Homiegiib- we're happy to have you and hope you stick around.

Hope everyone's July is off to a great start!

I'd like to join, I slacked off basically all June and gained 3 pounds. But July is a new month and a new start : ) I'm starting C25K today and I dont know how I`m gonna do but I`m excited to do something different than my work out vidoes.

Yay new thread!

This week has been crazy at work but I've kept up on points counting and jogging and am feeling better than ever. I'm off to the beach this weekend and even though I may still feel self conscious, I know I weigh less than last summer and I'm feeling pretty good. I made a great omelet for breakfast and am still so full, I really like the recipes on the website.

How's everyone doing as we gear up into this celebration filled weekend?

Hey Everyone! I am so excited for July!! This is my big month. I have a wedding to go to in August so I want to do really well this month.

Ms GenghisCohen- I have definitely found some of the C25K weeks to be easier than others. I just started W5 and I thought it was way easier than W4. Then again W5 is about to get way harder way fast!

I'm currently bouncing in my seat, waving my arms, and nodding my head like a crazy person... Why? Because I found a crazy-techno-ish song called Carmelldansen in a video with the House M.D TV show characters dancing like crazy and put it on my Itouch. Playing that at my desk at work sure gets me dancing in my seat as I work.

Anyone have a similar song that you just can't sit still to?
I'd love the title so I can put together a playlist for the weekend!

Veggies dancin' in the street.

The boss is out of town for the week, so we've been playing the radio in the lab and the song that I can't help dancing around to like an idiot is Bang Pop by Free Energy. The song Crash Years by The New Pornographers has also got my head bobbing.

I had my weigh-in last night and I was down 1.6. I was feeling pretty happy about it, but then I came home and decided to try on some jeans to see how they were fitting. And nothing had changed. I know I can fit into smaller pants when I try them on in the store, but I don't understand why my own pants don't seem to be getting any looser in the thighs? And that's the part of my body I started losing weight to improve... So, I've been in kind of a funk ever since.

Then, I made the mistake of trying to talk to my mom about it this morning, and her response was, "Well, if the rest of you starts looking skeletal we'll just have to get them lipo-ed," which was really not the sympathetic response I was hoping for.

Oh well... Hope the rest of you are having a great Friday!

Ms GenghisCohen- lol your mom is great. Don't worry. Even if the rest of you shrinks down and your thighs don't... just keep at it. They will shrink too!

Ugh, yeah, that is so not what a daughter wants to hear from dear ol' mom. e.e;;;

But I totally understand that frustration! My belly just does not seem to shrink, so I get the opposite problem (Jeans that "fit" have a tight waistband but a saggy butt and thighs!!! Arg!!!).

Not that I ever had a butt to begin with

It just seems that the place where most want to lose is nearly almost always the last to diminish like we want.

Keep working on it, and keep trying on those pants periodically. You'll get back into them.

---edit, and thanks for those tunes, I'll check 'em out as soon as I am off work!

---Edit Again,
Are you doing any strengthening exercises for your legs, maybe you're building a bit of muscle, a bit more where there hadn't been when you last wore those jeans?

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the thread homie and caleighsmommy and ade!

Ms GenghisCohen - Well done on signing up for a 5k! I did a Google search to see if there was one sometime at the end of summer/beginning of fall in our new area and haven't found any yet. I'd be really interested in doing one for charity though. I've volunteered at a few before but never felt I could actually run one myself! Don't worry about your thighs, they'll fit into those pants eventually I wish we could spot reduce but we just can't. I'd have stopped losing weight a while ago if I could have a smaller waist and unflabby arms!

bex - I haven't tried Zumba but I keep hearing great things about it, how it's so fun, etc. I am incredibly uncoordinated though!

I did W1D3 of C25k today. I am going to start W2 on Sunday. Looking forward to it! I didn't have to stop for a cramp at all this time, in fact I didn't have a cramp! I think it must have been related to breathing hindered by my cold, which is nearly gone now. I was far less red in the face this time too. Woo! I think I'm getting better at this!!

It's been a rough week for me and I tried not to turn to food to comfort myself but sometimes chocolate is so necessary (especially when you're having a bad day AND have TOM visiting). But I stuck to plan today and I intend to do so for the weekend as well. I'd love to see 149.# on Monday... I've been saying that for so long and it'd be nice to finally reach it!!

Hope everyone is doing very well and looking forward to the weekend. Happy Independence Day to you Americans! Canada Day was yesterday but as I'm not home, I feel like I missed out Did go for dinner and a movie with one of my best friends though, so didn't miss out too much!

Okay, so having completed (almost) my first day, I'm really happy.
I got a migraine and went comatose around noon, so I feel like I've been stuffing my face to get all my points in. I have discovered my favorite thing thus far:
Tortilla wrap
Tortilla, hummus spread, tofu strips, feta cheese, lettuce, tomatoes...amazing. Mine worked out to be 7.5 points (I'm determined to find a better tortilla..and I couldn't find reduced fat feta, so I think I can get those points lower!).
Anyway, I was really excited that this tasted so good. I already emailed it to my mom (also on WW, actually a lifetime member).
I still have points left for strawberries and jell-o SF mousse.

Do you guys ever feel like you are eating too much? I guess I chose really healthy, low point options earlier that I had a lot left over.
