no flavor and most of it was just buttercream like they did a hackjob on it to make it into a castle. i hate buttercream its too sweet
i had been planning to bake the cake and make it into a castle using ice cream cones for parts but the cake bought from the store was already falling apart by the time we cut it i'll gladly share a pic

Icon - CONGRATS on getting out of the 140s! I know you're stoked. Yes, please post more Molly furry feet pics! In reference to hush puppies:

Quote:
Hushpuppies are a food with strong ties to the American South, although they are available in many areas of America on the menus of deep fried fish restaurants. The name “hushpuppies” is often attributed to hunters, fishermen or other cooks who would fry some basic cornmeal mixture (possibly that they had been bread-coating or battering their own food with) and feed it to their dogs to “hush the puppies” during cook-outs or fish-frys. Also, runaway slaves would feed them to the guard dogs of their owners in order to "hush the puppies." Other hush puppy legends date to the Civil War. Southern soldiers would sit beside a campfire, preparing meals. When Union soldiers came near, they would toss some small pieces of fried cornbread to their barking dogs with the command "Hush, puppies".
from wikipedia.

So basically it's fried batter-y goodness. They're a little on the sweet side and yeah they're amazing.

Lissa - that sucks about the cake. I stick with the age old Betty Crocker cake mix from the grocery store... can't go wrong there.

---------------------
Lots to do today. Getting ready to head out to the gym and then come home and tackle this pile of clean clothes that has been sitting in my bedroom floor since I pulled them out of the dryer and haven't hung them up. Then some other chores in an attempt to get ready for a busy week of work, working out and flying to Atlanta on Thursday.

The scale still said 181.0 this morning. Maybe my body doesn't hate me after all.

On the down side I got eaten up by bugs last night. I have (no lie) 8 bug bites on my stomach. I felt like something was biting me last night but it was UP my shirt... ugh. I hate being itchy! Benadryl spray is going to be my friend today.

So, I suck at keeping up with the threads lately :C I am sorry.

How are you guys doing? I haven't been able to get on since I was in Kentucky for a few days and I started up my summer nanny job again.

TOM just went by and I felt really crappy at the stores yesterday with my mom, I was horribly bloated - even my feet! I did buy a pair of shoes that made me feel good about myself, and a $15 flapper dress from H&M. Plus the scale was all over the place from attempting to eat healthy in Kentucky and water retention from traveling and what-not.Today I'm feeling better though, 173 on the scale and 1lb away from my June goal.

Right now I'm riding the train down the coast looking at the pacific ocean. Soo pretty! Went up to Santa barbara for the summer solstice celebrations. Super fun, and now it is officially summer!
