Help!

I have been away from the site for quite some time because I had some family problems going on and was just so distracted. Now I find myself once again in the 200's and facing the same problem. No matter what I eat, no matter what I drink, how much I exercise, I can't get below 217. I don't know what to do! I'm 5'2" and 217.8 lbs. I'm tired of being the fat girl with 2 kids and no man because no one wants me. I need help.

Firstly, welcome back :D Thats a big step. Secondly,! Its a tough ride! What did you try before? What happened when you got to 217? Did anything change? What are you eating and how are you exercising?

I would recommend changing up your calorie intake, or exercise. That seems to get me out of those slumps where it seems like I can't lose a single pound.

There are times patience is the best answer. If you are eating right and exercising regularly then you will probably get past it eventually.

I try to switch things up when I get stuck, sometimes I take a day where I have a 'fat meal' where I don't count calories. I use these to kick start my body so that when I do eat well and excercise it remembers we're doing it to lose weight.

A woman at the gym said that you need to change your workout routine every 6 weeks or you risk a plataeu. Just stick around here, there are many to support you and I find a lot of inspiration in the goal threads when I see the photos of others.

Hi There, and welcome back! i have just recently returned as well.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a difficult time getting out of your plateau. Is it possible that although you may not be losing weight, you could possibly be gaining muscle?

or is it possible that you are losing inches instead of pounds?

Thanks for the responses ladies. I hadn't thought about changing things up I'll have to try that. It's great to be back. Thanks!
