Snack Ideas???

Sooooo as some of you already know..I work for a vending company. I bring my apples slices and carmel rice cakes but I have days where I realllllly want something sweet. I love reeses and i have given in a time or to but i try not to (recovering sugar junkie) LOL. I need some snack ideas for days like this when i really want something sweet. I have access to any and every snack there is but which ones are the better choice? (I'm doing weight watchers by the way) That dang reeses takes up 13 of my points so i realllly have to want it lol

Peanut M&M's are actually really "good" for you - you get the sweetness of the chocolate, but you also get the filling part of the nuts. I believe a bag is 6 points, which is a lot, but you don't have to eat the whole thing.

Does your company have a small fridge where employers put their snacks? If so how about a fruit salad? My mum makes one using bananas, strawberries, mandarin, oranges and apple and a teaspoon of splenda and it tastes like heaven. I usually fill a teacup of it and eat it in the afternoon. I am not sure about it but I think that usually fruit salad is around 2-3 points on weight watchers.

The past two weeks I have been baking loaves. Last week was a banana one and this week was a lemon loaf. I use whole wheat flour and the recipes I use add oat bran. Works out to about 170ish calories a slice and 2-3 points depending on fibre.

I love a slice for a snack!

What about peanut or almond butter on an apple or with celery? I also like raisins and almonds, they have some almonds that have been 'dusted' with chocolate or cinnamon (so a bit higher, calorie wise, but they still have the nutritional value). And when push comes to shove, Lemon Zest Luna bars are absolutely divine!

i second the fruit salad. but instead of sugar i use about 2 tablespoons or less of honey with lemon juice (a slice of lemons worth). the honey really gets my sweet fix!

Sure thing! They are out of the cookbook Eat Shrink and Be Merry! But I will post both of them in my blog later tonight!

I have a nature valley granola bar for snacks. They're quick and very portable!

If you're killing for Reeses why not make your own? Dip dark chocolate (I looooove dark chocolate with like 90% Coc. like Lindt does) in some Skippy Natural?

Fruit is my go to, I love berries.

are any prepackaged snacks good? like 100 cal snacks? I know since I started reading labels I'm suprised at now many of the food that is advertised as "healthy" if full of sugar and enriched flour...any ideas??

Fruit! Bring along a banana/apple/orange in your purse. Mandarin oranges are also delicious.

Or perhaps some kind of fiber-licious granola bar with chocolate chips?

I've also heard that dark chocolate covered almonds are really good. The almonds for the fiber and stuff and dark chocolate for the antioxidants. Just make sure you don't go overboard.

I love granola bars, fresh fruit, and yogurt.

How about Fiber One Bars? I think depending on the kind you get they average about 2 - 3 points. I used to eat those at work in the afternoon to kill my sugar craving. They have all sorts of flavors. The chewy chocolate were my favorite and totally satisfied my sweet tooth. Also, because they have a lot of protein in them drink plenty of water and they are very filling.

I second the fiber one bars. Also, Kashi makes these really good TLC bars. I had the blackberry graham ones last week and they were awesome and only 110 cals each.
