Triumphs!
I just want to say that I am proud of myself and this week. I have stayed on plan and excercised mon-friday and today I want to excersice! Monday started out as I have to excersice and today I can't want to get out and do it! Getting to excercise is becoming a reward for me! I never thought I would feel this way.
This weeks Triumphs 1. excercising daily 2. staying on plan, except for Tuesday nights burger king run, that was not good but I recovered well. 3. wanting to excerscise 4. choosing a salad and soup at applebees yesterday when I went out with my boyfriend instead of choosing steak, or a burger. I just feel really good. What are your triumphs? |
Good for you Amy! Last weekend I put my self-esteem issues aside and went to the gym with my hubby. Something he's been begging me to do for months! I went and enjoyed it. Went back again Monday and Tuesday. Because of my hubby's busy work week we haven't gotten to go since. I REALLLLLLY miss it! It's almost like i'm craving the gym instead of food, what a great feeling!! Hope I get to go today if he gets home at a decent time!

Good for you, sounds like you had a good week! We can't always be perfect, but progress is made when the good decisions outweigh the bad ones, and it sounds like you made plenty of good choices this week that would make up for any slip ups :)
I had a great week this week too. I finally overcame a month long plateau at 150 and have dropped almost 3lbs! I've also been awesome about going to the gym on gym days, eating on plan fairly well (minus yesterday, but it was a scheduled cheat day). I also went for a run last night, and actually really enjoyed myself. I'm starting to feel like a runner...one of those people who can effortlessly lope along for miles. I can effortlessly lope for about 20 minutes and feel good, when I started, I could jog for about 1 minute and I was gasping. |
This week, I got back on track with my running (and found I'm not as bad off as I thought!) and made it up early Friday morning to go running (Friday mornings are my nemesis!). I'm also proud to say that I decided against the giant Culver's concrete mixer I told myself I was going to have yesterday!

Smisen, I keep wanting to try Culvers, but then I looked at the calories online - Eep! Good job staying away!! It looks delicious and everyone raves about it, but a small mixer is all my calories for a day, nearly!!!
I'm proud that I'm sticking to plan despite sickness, a break-up with my bf of 2.5 years, loneliness of moving to a new place and knowing no one, and sadness over the lost baby. I just hope life gets better. I can't honestly picture it taking a turn downward. I know it's petty to think I'll get a new bf once I'm at my goal, but wouldn't it be nice? :-) |

Wow what incredible triumphs! Way to go everybody!
My triumph today was going for 5.2 mile run! Took me about an hour. I only stopped once in the middle to get some water at a fountain. Definitely a NSV since before I couldn't run a minute with out huffing and puffing! I actually felt like a runner... and as I was running in the beginning some random cute guy was like "Yay runners are awesome!" and gave me a high five. Kinda great hehehe. |
