Default JM 30 Day Shred (same topic, 1 yr later)

So I saw the previous posts from a year ago about this program..
Ive been doing level 1 about a month..yea I know I should of moved on by now, but when I incorporated parts of level 2 in I sprained my ankle, so I was off of any of her "jumping" moves for about 2 weeks...basically, instead of high kicks and jumping jacks, all I would do is the jump rope move. Tomorrow Im determined to start up level 2 again...
Does anyone think I should go through level one and slowly incorporate level 2 or should I just start off with level 2 now that Ive been doing this so long?
I do *love* this dvd and can really see that my body is ACTUALLY getting a shape (other than blob)..but Im almost scared to move onto level 2 lol.

I'd say that if you're enjoying it so much it would be better to gradually build level 2 into your workout routine. Start off with replacing just once a week and then two until you start to enjoy level 2 like you do with the first one. If we don't enjoy exercise we won't do it, right?

When I did JM 30ds the first time through, I made myself move on after 10 days on each level. It looks daunting, but you'll get used to it just like you did with level 1. I found I had to follow many of the "modified" versions once I got past level 1 (but this was my first workout in many months). I also think that if you can't do (or don't want to chance an injury to yourself) any of the cardio parts, just sub in one from level 1. It still keeps your heart rate up and I'm sure that's the point. Most of all - HAVE FUN!!

ps - I still do her workouts every here and there when I can't get out of the house. I love them because I can choose from one of three so I never get bored.

I like this DVD too, and did it last year - 10 days for each level for 30 days. I just started it again, but I'm only doing level 1 so far - I found I got more results from this level. I think you should start level 2, just be careful so nothing bad happens to your ankle. If after one time it's too much, maybe alternate level 1 and 2? Good luck! I totally agree that it really makes a huge difference in your shape - such a great workout!

So I finished level 2 today..i decided just to start off with a bang and go for it. It wasnt too bad, though I feel like I did on day 1 lvl 1 () but some of her moves are REALLY complicated and its going to take me time to get the form down correctly.
I look at her as shes doing some of these and Im like..?.?

Since it decided to rain on my first day off in six days (and the weather was absolutely gorgeous those six days, FML), I'm starting L2 on the 30DS today instead of going out for a walk like I really really really want to.

I have been alternating lvl 1, with No More Trouble Zones and Turbo Kick for the past week. I'm moving on to level 2 for this week and alternating that with No More Trouble Zones and Turbo Kick. I lost abt 3 lbs last week. I hope to take some after measurements after I've been doing this for 30 days. It's called jillian's 30 day slim down, if anyone is interested. She uses Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism for the pure cardio days, though.

SkinnyBride, wow you're brave doing Jillianx2 in one day. Bravo.

Yay! I actually started it yesterday on level one and my quads HURT. I'm kind of scared to do it again today because I don't want to strain anything but something tells me I should quit being a wimp and just do it.

i'm ordering it off amazon as we speak... they have it at my work, but it's like double the price (and my discount wont even give me as much as i can get it off amazon for!)

so have people really seen results with this?
(sorry to change the topic btw!)

Missy, FWIW, I've been using it as my primary means of exercise and I've gone from 229 to 210 since mid-January and that wasn't even by doing it as regularly as I should (compounded with a 1300-1500 calorie diet).
