To run a 5k.
To be able to button the bottom button on my lab coat (I'm a biology major. My a*s and hips got to big for me to button the last button. Two years ago it fit just fine.)
To fit into these size 6 jeans I got on sale at Lucky because "oh, I'll just loose 5lbs and they'll fit..." *rolls eyes* Oh, the things i tell myself

To be able to look at myself and not compare myself negatively to every other woman I see. To quit being so hard on myself for doing normal human things like occasionally eating too much salt or craving cheese.

Not so much even a weight loss goal, but it all fits in together, doesn't it?

Great thread!

My goals: 1) Fit into some jeans and pants I have and that I haven't been able to. Also, fit into a brown skirt I have and that it's very pretty.
2) Being able to sit on my boyfriend's lap when I finally meet him in December (he is Scottish and I am travelling there near New Year =^.^=). He is a tall guy (6" <3) and not very small in built, but I wouldn't like to break him :P
3) Being able to get sexy lingerie in my size for the aforementioned meeting It's quite difficult to get big sizes where I am *Sighs*

I love non-scale goals!

One of my starting goals was to get to the last notch on my XL belt. I'm there now! My new goal is to be able to take off my pants, with the XL belt on, buckled to the last notch.

Another goal is to fit into a particular pair of my size 12 jeans that I wore a few months ago when at 147ish. These are the pants that indicated that I gained some weight because although they fit perfectly before, a few pounds ago I found them way too snug and difficult to button. I might be able to fit in them now... but I want to wait until I hit the 10lb loss point before I try them on

Aside from that, I have a few pairs of pants and shorts that are a size 7/9 that I wore briefly when I was down at 140... Fitting into those again will be nice. I remember feeling so sexy and confident in them.

And another goal is to match (then beat) my boyfriend's measurements. (He's at a healthy BMI of 21 and either a medium or large build.) I already have him beat on some of my measurements... but here are the biggies:

Him - 20, 5'5", 130lbs, Asian, Male
Biceps: 10.3"
Waist: 30.8"
Hip: 35"
Thigh: 20.8"

Me - 21, 5'0", 153lbs, Caucasian, Female
Biceps: 12.5"
Waist: 36"
Hip: 42"
Thigh: 25.5"

Difference
Biceps: 2.25"
Waist: 5.25"
Hip: 7"
Thigh: 4.75"

I have such a big caboose!

I want to get rid of all the clothes in my closet. Even though my goal is a 10, by the time I get to a 14 everything I own will have to be replaced even the underwear!!

I want to be able to walk up to someone that hasn't seen me in years and it take them a minute to figure out who I am.

Have my arms so toned that I can fit in anything in my size without having to worry about if my arms will fit. (genetics aren't always my friend)

Have Tshirts that my husband can't wear because they are too small or made just for girls.

  • No more front gut and inner thigh bulges
  • Fit into a size 12
  • Be able to show off all the muscles I've acquired over the years
  • Increase my endurance so I'm not so easily winded
  • No more medication
  • Not have "fat girl guilt" and be able to fully enjoy the once-in-a-while nights out with friends instead of thinking that I have no right to be eating this or drinking that and should have gotten the bland, low-calorie option instead and now need to overexercise to offset.
  • Knowing that I'll be able to go anywhere and sit anywhere and be comfortable
  • Not be the fat girl in the group

-Run a 5k.
-Fit into my 160lb boyfriend's clothes
-Not HAVE to only shop at David's Bridal when I get married, since they are the only people who have plus sizes in stock to try on.
-Actually look like the "little sister" that I am
-Sit in an airplane seat without my hips being so wide they push up the armrest a bit so I can fit

1. Run a 10K.
2. Run an actual 5K race. (end of March!)
3. Do a real push-up.
4. Do a real pull-up.
5. Do 200 squats in a row.
6. Fit into my skinny 10s then perhaps an 8.
7. Do a real tricep dip (this is just...effin' hard).

I'd like to comfortable wear size 8 pants (I'm currently a 12/10 so I'm getting there). Also, I want to run a 5k race!

I just got rid of all my old clothes (even the underwear). I went from a 24w to currently 10/12 (and shrinking)...it's the craziest feeling having a completely new wardrobe.

I want to be able to buy a much smaller wedding gown.

The one I have now I love, but it's a 14 so it barely fits me. I'm not getting married until 09/11, so I would love it if I could be able to buy a size 8 or 6. And I know it can only be altered down to a 10, and I wouldn't be devastated if I had to sell the one I have now on eBay. There's a Casablanca wedding gown that I love too and it's similar to the one I have.

I would love to have no love handles. Even when I wear baggy pants they still stick out now.
I would love to be able to comfortably wear a size 10.
I would love to run a 5K marathon.
