I'm in my stomach is getting way to jiggly!

shasha12 03-08-2010 09:35 AM

snow wolf- oh my goodness that's a LOT of exercise!! Geez :)
littlekitty- welcome!

I did my planks yesterday. Slowly building up :) I did 2 sets of 20-30 seconds. I think I could have done another set, but I didn't want to push it too much. Felt good though, I'm hoping to increase my ability this week!

stargzr 03-08-2010 09:44 AM

snow - How scary! I would've booked it too! I'm glad you're ok and glad too that you've chosen to *not* do that again! :)

I took a weekend off from counting and rigorous exercise and I feel much better and more determined to meet my goals - so I think it was a positive thing for my progress. I'm back OP today and I *really* want to do a 2 minute plank tonight. So I'm planning on 1min each side, 1min regular, & 2min regular. Wish my abs luck! ;)

I'm jumping in a few days late but I'm excited to start these!

shasha12 03-13-2010 11:00 AM

I had a bad week, and didn't do much exercising at all... but yesterday I did my 5 sets of 20-30seconds, and I am sooore and tight this morning! haha feels good though :)

SnowWolf 03-13-2010 01:13 PM

LittleKitty-welcome to this challenge!

shasha12-*high five* that is awesome. It does really work. ;) Great job of geting back on track.

stargzr-good for you star. :) I wish your abs mucho luck!

blah, for me I havn't exercised this whole week. I feel very bad. I'm having some issues with getting my work done. I have to fix that situation first before I can move onto getting back on track with exercise. Good this is somehow I didn't gain that much weight from this week. sigh. Wish me good luck! I can't wait to have a fresh start with all my sistas and bros here at 3fc. Priority first. however I'm going to do my usual planks starting today!

Wouldn't it be cool to have progress pictures of your stomachs? I don't have a camera.

i'd like to join in!
i remember doing plans in highschool for P.E class.. the more athletic girls would always hold it for 5 minutes (very jealous!)
i'll try starting at 30seconds for now, until I know I can do 1 minute (don't even know how long I can hold for.. I used to be able to hold for 2 minutes at a time in High school) and I'll do the side plank as well!

SnowWolf 03-14-2010 05:57 PM

missyRxOx-welcome to this challedge!:D I know what you mean about those more athletic girls. Good luck with your planks, that's a good start. =)

I'm doing mine later tonight.:p

Anybody want to restart the Plank Challenge?

I used to be able to do this, but since I stopped working out, I lost strength all over.

Anbody with me? I can find online instructions for a good plank and modified plank!

MiZTaCCen 03-09-2011 11:36 AM

I'm game!

each2each 03-09-2011 01:23 PM

I'm definitely in! Is this a March challenge, or just an overall goal?

Ishisnowcone 03-09-2011 07:46 PM

I didnt know this post existed, suppose thats what I get for not checking in for a few days! I have been doing these daily for a while now, but not 5 minutes worth thats for sure lol. Im on this now though! 5 minutes will be my new goal. I also do them during commercials on my nightly sit on my butt and watch tv time.

Great idea!

We do planks every day in BC. It's worked for me! I love them. I'm down!

krampus 03-09-2011 09:45 PM

I'm in!

cat eyes 03-28-2011 03:33 PM

I am so in! Today is day 1 of the plank challenge for me and I'm aiming at doing 3 sets of 1min planks. I cannot wait to be able to do 5mins worth or even more! Hopefully by may 28th I'll see some real definition in my abdomen (even the slightest bit haha) Let's do this girls! :carrot:

souvenirdarling 03-28-2011 05:36 PM

I've been doing a one-minute plank the last few mornings and really feel later, during the day. Who would have thought they'd make such a difference!

linalin 03-30-2011 10:05 AM

I did planks for the first time with my trainer- and WOW are they harder than I thought!

I did (total, but over 2 rotations) 30 planks, holding each for 10 seconds.. OUCH. I am definitely going to practice at home to build my strength!
