I need new tunes!!

Ok ladies, I need some serious suggestions. I need MUSIC!! All sorts--not just workout!

I'm a big fan of alternative/rock, but also listen to some pop. Pretty much anything, but nothing too rappish and not too much country.

Also, I've pretty much downloaded everything Top 40, so that's out. LoL

So come on! Give me suggestions and underground bands and whatnot! :)

1..2..3..GO!!!

Iconised Ghost 02-18-2010 03:41 PM

Kamelot and Wintersun :D I find them really good for running and for whenever you need a bit of a boost! Because they are just freaking awesome

amandapaige 02-18-2010 03:44 PM

And Amanda-- I LOOOOVE CITIZEN COPE!!! He's coming to Houston March 13th and I'm dying for some tickets! He makes me weak in the knees... :) hehehe

Right now the one song that keeps me going through my toughest workouts is Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon. I have no idea why, but it really pumps me up. Other than that I listen to a lot of pop music, the kind of stuff that is embarrassing to have on my ipod at all :) Um, also some Franz Ferdinand (esp. Take Me Out and No You Girls), MGMT, and David Guetta. And of course, my secret Britney Spears....

Rythm 02-18-2010 05:14 PM

The New Pornographers - Sing Me Spanish Techno
Seabear - I Sing I Swim
Metric - Sick Muse
Belle & Sebastian - The State I am In

Silversun Pickups
If you're into any metal check out In This Moment (Love them!)

My all time fav band is 311 so anything by them :) And Incubus as well.

I'll look at my music folder when I get home and make some suggestions. I mostly listen to techno though and have single tracks/mixes.

I've also recently re-discovered Shiny Toy Guns. I really liked them in 2005ish and forgot about them until the other week.

Its Courtney 02-19-2010 04:28 PM

GREAT selections! Thanks!! :) My internet has been out for the most part recently...grrRr...so I'm just getting these downloaded.
