Yay! People around my age!

I just hardcore lost my motivation. I used to be a hardcore basketball player back in high school, but I quit around the end of sophmore year and just started focusing more on school because I wanted to get into an Ivy League (didn't happen). And then my weight ballooned my last three years of college because I was trying to get my GPA up, I got involved with my student org (it became my life), I was trying to start a new org, and I was trying to get into grad school, plus I was a double major and minor. All I ever wanted to do was just go home, eat some comfort food, watch tv, and relax.

My main thing was that I stress eat. And now that I don't have those stressers, I find myself just randomly going to the fridge since that's what I would always do when I was a student.

I've been in the 200s for about 4-5 years, so I'm hoping to change that.

I am also one of those ppl who can't remember when they were below 200. I feel so far away from onderland, but I'll get there with time.

chavela i do the same thing. I find myself looking in the fridge at the most bizzare times when I am bored or stressed etc, and often times I will have grabbed something before I even catch myself doing it. Suddenly I am like "wait a second!! what am I dong??" Its like a habbit.

I think we all get that way. i am a true blue muncher when it comes to being bored. lol.

and I just found out that i am eating way under my calorie intake and this is probably why i am not seeing any real weight loss numbers. shocking that most diet related things i read label everyone in the same calorie intake.

I am so glad to have found this. Hi everyone! I have been on track for almost 2 months now and have lost 14 lbs. I too can't remember the last time i was under 200, its been several years and several injuries and set backs. But this time there's no more excuses, I can't describe it but it feels so different from every other attempt for me. you guys are all inspirational! Thank you! Can't wait to share success stories.

well, i'm finally back from the tourcation, and boy do i need a vacation! i'm home until the 31st when i fly to nashville, and then spring break is a cruise, then australia in may for 2 weeks. it's going to be a crazy couple of months. i did gain 2.5lbs, but i wasn't eating very healthy and didn't have a lot of water intake, so i am actually very happy! considering that when i got home from virginia on feb 18th, it said i gained 2.1 lbs! so technically the big part of my trip, i only gained 0.4lbs. i'm hoping to get back down to 212.5 by the end of this week, but i will take any loss. hope everyone has been great staying OP!

Hi ladies,

I'm in too! I haven't been here in awhile but decided having some extra support would be very helpful. I am down to 219 at the moment, which is lower than I have been in a long time. I am hoping to get down to 199 by May, which at this point is looking like a very doable goal.

I'll be sure to keep you guys posted!

M

Hi Everyone! I've been lurking for a while, but haven't posted much. I too can barely remember the last time I was under 200, but I'm well on my way! However...I keep getting roped into birthday dinners which not only mess me up with calorie intake, but then I don't have time to go to the gym that day either

Been a rough day today. Spent most of it writing two papers for two different classes and I still have some homework to do before Thursday afternoon. Ah, the joys of being a student.

I went from 219 to 220 again. I think it's just normal weight fluctuation though, and hopefully I can remedy the situation by going to yoga tonight. I usually go on Mondays but I missed it last time due to being under the weather.

Also went to the gym Tuesday and ran for the first time in ages. I didn't get very far, but at least I gave those muscles a thorough workout. Maybe next time I'll do better.

What have you guys done today to stay on track?

M

i've done it! i don't know how, but i did it! i am no longer in the 2teens! i weighed in at 208.1 this morning, so i'm only 9 pounds away from onderland!! i don't know why the weight is coming off this fast, but i think my body might have gone into a small starvation mode by counting calories, so the vacation from counting calories might have put me up 2.5lbs, but i've dropped more than that!! how is everyone else doing?

miss shelley - i feel you on the student thing. i was out of school for almost 2 weeks and i did homework last night from 9am to a little after midnight. i'm glad i only have school 2 days a week!
