There was a thread on here a while back asking who your role model was in terms of body size, shape, etc. I was thinking about it and I had originally thought Kate Winslet's body/shape would be something I aspire to. Today, the thought occurred to me that I would LOVE to have a body like Jennifer Garner's in Elektra. Man, she looked great! So I get this random idea to look up her measurements when she did that movie. Long story short, I found out that she's 5'8", 34-27-35, weight: 112lbs. WAIT, 112???!!! I'm the same height and she's more than 50lbs lighter than me? So it got me thinking, do I really want to look like that? And how come my measurements are darned near close to hers at my weight?
Anyhow, I was wondering if you have chosen a person or a size/set of measurements that you aspire to be. If so, who or what size/measurements? And do you think it's possible for you?
So much is controlled by genetics! Even at my thinniest (109) a long time ago in a galaxy far far away I never had a 27 inch waist! Then on here the other day I saw a posting by somebody 3 inches shorter than me and 20 pounds heavier that has a smaller waist than I do!!! Just can't figure some of this stuff out! I am trying to convince myself that I just need to be the best I can be for me and my body type!
Heh, Nicole Scherzinger is my body idol (and I think she just got signed by Wilhelmina) and I mean you probably can't trust internet body stats all that much, even when they're printed in lady mags it's usually some trainer guessing based on a photo...on one site I just read that she's 32-23-33, which is a double zero, and on another I just read that we have exactly the same measurements (35-27-36)...haha yeah I doubt it. She is the same height as me tho.
I'd have to say that my body aspirations would be something like Scarlett Johannson [36-27-36], Reese Witherspoon [37-25-35], Rachel Bilson [34-25-35], or Hayden Panettiere [36-25-36]
I used to really dig Scarlett Johannson and Kim Kardashian, but I can never find their right weights or sizes, so I really just want to be me but smaller.
Right now I'm 42-33-44.. So I really like my proportions, I just want like.. 10 inches off each area.. I just hope my chest doesn't get TOO small.. the butt I can handle through workouts..
I really dig the hourglass shapes that were so emphasized during the 50's.. I don't want to get too thin, but I want to gain some muscle mass to smooth me out more, but still be "soft". I used to hate my shape for the better part of my life, but now I really love it!
I actually just found a picture of me in a formal dress and one of the dinners I had in high school. I'm using that as inspiration but mostly I just want to me happy with my shape and size. I'd rather be a size 10 but firm then a flabby size 4...
I love Katy Perry's body. It's healthy yet curvy. She's supposedly a 32-25-36. I hope as I get closer to my good weight, my legs look that good! Also, a fan of ke$ha's body and lady gaga's uber toned body! Clothing wise, I love how clothes look on Zoey Deschanel.
I'm excited for when my curves aren't derived from my fat/hip bones, especially in my thighs, rather from my actual body shape! At that point, I'll be satisfied with my body. (AKA BYE SADDLEBAGS!!)

Some of those celebs seem to have very little in the way of hip! I personally like a little more of an hourglass/narrow waisted figure. Though I admit that could have something to do with my own figure being that way inclined lol.
I just find that the slim, no hip look lacks a little feminity, its a bit boy-ish for me.
Though I am floored to read some of those measurements, my own are 34-26-38! Makes me feel pretty good all things considered
I'm like most of the rest of you...want to keep my curves for sure. I just want to be curvy, but toned and healthy. I'm definitely an hourglass and I like that...I could just do without all the extra chub hanging off this hourglass
I would say Kate Winslet has an ideal body. She's still got curves but she's toned-basically she looks like a real person . I'll never have Scarlett's chest so there's no point in dreaming that one
I have Scarlett and Kate hanging in my bathroom for visualization
I remember when Kate did Titanic they said she was 135 (and that was when she would get all that grief for being "heavy" gotta love Hollywood) - so really that's what I always had in mind.
