Do you drink protein shakes?

If so would you be able to reccomend a good recipe or tell which one or kind you drink? Most of the time I work out early in the morning and there are times that I really am not hungry until after I work out and maybe having a shake would help. Suggestions please and thank you.

I've been considering getting a blender and making fruit smoothies for breakfast on the way to the gym or after the gym. I'm been thinking about this as well.

I do them in the mornings sometimes. I had one this morning, actually!

-scoop of chocolate whey protein
-2 cups light vanilla soymilk
-3-4 frozen strawberrys
-handful of spinach.

YUM!

Im on the Bodywise weightloss elance management program. I have a protein shake a day, or sometimes 2 if im busy. so far i have lost almost 70lbs on it. I started at 267 and im at 199, since april last year..and i love them, even my kids love them in the fruit smooties.

If you would like to know where to buy them or more info on them PM me.

I don't make my own, but I always have the Special K protein shakes on hand. I'm usually not hungry after I work out, so I just have one of those.

I would make them using some kind of chocolate protein powder, sugar free chocolate pudding, a banana and unsweetened almond milk (which is quite low cal) some metamucil and maybe a few ice cubes to make it like a really chocolatey treat. That way, it was a dessert with benefits.

Wow these sound like some really good ones. I hope they taste as good as they sound.

Any idea how many grams of protein are any the shakes you guys speak of?

I'm a fan of Spirutein shake mixes (from soy, with spirulina, one of the ultimate superfoods). Although I was reading yesterday about how soy protein isolate (and anything ending in "isolate) is so horrible for you because it's so ultra-processed with bad chemicals (see http://www.choosingraw.com/the-low-d...rotein-powders). I'm vegan(ish) so I rely a lot on non-dairy milk and soy products, and as a result I am kind of trying not to hear all the info about how soy may be bad for you.

That said, if you're not afraid of soy, I like the chocolate spirutein mixed with either vanilla almond milk or cappuccino flavored SoySlender soy milk. Having a shake mixer cup is super helpful -- mine has lines on the side to measure the liquids you're putting in and a whisk-ball thing inside that mixes up the powder while you shake the cup. Mine looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/BlenderBottle-...3497463&sr=8-1 and I got it at whole foods.

I love soy milk, I drink a cup about three to four times per week. So Id be willing to try. I also have a blender and I have made shakes but not protein ones. Thanks for all the info ladies.
