Soooo when you make it to goal......

Will you post your story? I personally cant wait to post my story when I make goal. I also know that others opt to take a different route. How do you feel about posting your goal story? Will you or wont you?

I plan to post my story, I think it's rather ho-hum... but I have identified with small parts of some success stories and I figure maybe I'll help one person, that'd be ok with me. I know I like to see the before/after photos... but I don't know if I will be able to put myself out there. As it is, I don't have any photos of myself on this site (or anywhere else really, for that matter). We'll see. ;)

Are you kidding? I'm posting mine today! I'm so overdramatic LMAO I'd go crazy if I didn't get my goal story! ;)

junebug41 01-04-2010 02:30 PM

I found 3FC after I hit my goal weight because I had so many emotions and no one to relate to. 3FC has been a part of my journey during maintenance and I took some time to sort my head out before I wrote it all out (which was very theraputic!) :)

I definitely will! Those stories inspire me all the time- I'd love to help inspire someone else who may feel they relate to my personal journey :)

Lucky Charm 01-04-2010 02:49 PM

I'm not sure. I probably wouldn't. It'll just bore everybody. :p

tkm256 01-04-2010 03:42 PM

Meh. Probably not. It's not particularly useful. I mean, other ladies would post stories about awesome willpower and amazing physical feats, whereas I would have to honestly say, "I had stomach issues that made me think I was hungry when I was really just sick. As soon as I was prescribed the right meds I didn't need to eat as much anymore." That would probably annoy people.

I'll do a short summary and before/after pictures probably. Honestly, I don't have a TON of weight to lose and it's going to take me like 5 months, not over a year. Plus, my story just isn't that interesting haha

cdemay 01-04-2010 06:10 PM

Oh definitely! Who wouldn't be proud of what they're doing and did?! It is also inspiring to hear about other people's stories. The ones that relate to you, obviously.

angee phalangee 01-04-2010 07:47 PM

I will, just because I know that reading goal stories has been truely inspirational and reassuring for me. When I meet my goal, I will have lost 101 lbs, and if I think there's a possibility that one person out there might be uplifted by my journey like I was by others'...well that's enough to make me want to tell it.

Yes I plan to post my story when I reach goal. The first thing I did when I joined this board was look at the goal stories, they are inspirational and it's nice to have an idea of what worked for other. Plus I love talking about myself!

Phoenix301 01-04-2010 07:55 PM

absolutely :) I think we all have our own stories and boring or not they are all noteworthy and i personally think any any information we can share with others on our journey, big or small, might change someone else so its worth it.

mayness 01-05-2010 09:25 AM

Probably not. I've been up and down in weight so many times, and all of them are really boring stories. Maybe if something exciting happens by the time I get to goal I'll change my mind.

But I'll definitely post pictures! I love seeing the pictures that people post.

I see what you mean but I, personally, would be very interested in hearing your story because I would be able to relate more to you with regards to your starting weight. Hearing all the stories from people who have lost a hundred pounds and more are great and very inspiring but I do actually prefer to read from people who were at the same weight I am. I can just relate to it more.

Just because one person doesn't have a hundred pounds to lose doesn't mean they don't find it hard. No matter what weight we are we all struggle to find ourselves and feel comfortable in our own skin. :)

Mikan 01-05-2010 11:09 AM

Hopefully post one sooner than later, since I am trying to lose weight !
