Newbie :) And..READY TO GET THIS DONE!

Hi Ladies :)

Just joined 3FC and I can already tell this is a great place for motivation and inspiration. I am so excited to start on my journey of transforming my body!

A little background info:
I moved to a new city about a year and a half ago to help my parents out with a coffee shop that they own. Not knowing many people and staying at home a lot and watching movies, eventually leads to gaining weight. I also recently moved in with my boyfriend of 1 year and that has also not done the best things to the waistline. I love to cook and simply got into a habit of cooking unhealthy foods out of convenience. I have gained about 15-20 lbs since we have been together. About a month ago we both made the decision that we needed to eat better as well as work out more. So far, so good. I just know myself, and I always am lacking that bit of motivation, soooo you girls need to help me out!!!

I am glad you found us this is a great place!! So welcome look around, I would suggest reading a few posts from ladies on different plans and choosing one that you think will work the best for you and try it out. I also recommend writing down everything that you eat, I think that is the one thing that helps me the most.

Thanks :)

For a month, my boyfriend and I have been "eating clean" which has done wonders, I can tell already. I feel a TON better. I've tried writing down everything that I eat before but I never stick with it....maybe this needs to change too. I have also committed to working out 4-5x a week as well as walking the dog as much as I can.
All of your success stories are so inspiring to me. I already love it here!

Welcome! Trust me, this place is fantastic for motivation. Everyone is very uplifting and understanding (since we all know what each other is going through).

It sounds like you're already taking the right steps to getting started. It's a good thing you like to cook, because that will be your secret weapon to eating healthier and changing your lifestyle. I used to cook all of these unhealthy "convenience" foods until I realized that I can just as easily eat what I like, except healthier, with just a few small healthy changes to the recipes.

Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask any question you have - there always seems to be someone around here who knows!
