Did my two mile run already this morning. Have the alumni basketball game as well as my erg workout (3x 2k) scheduled for this afternoon. :)

today, i woke up with a new attitude, and much reason to have one. im going home!!! goodbye Seattle, hello Los Angeles. It's a bittersweet things but im excited about taking on another challenge and change in my life. wish me luck. |

Yesterday I walked around the Columbus Zoo with my friends for Christmas get together for several hours, and we went out to eat twice and I did pretty well considering! Home Town Buffet had a salad with greens and romaine lettuce and low calorie ranch and topped with veggies and then a plate almost entirely covered by green beans, fried okra (my only fried thing in the meal) and steamed broccoli and a few small pieces of baked (no breading) fish of some kind..and a tiny square of cheesecake.
We ended up going to a McDonalds for supper, i could of done better but i learned some things too! I got 10 piece chicken nuggets apple dippers and drank water.. I would of had just over 500 calories if i would of just eaten the nuggets and apples but my downfall was when someone in the group got those individual baked apple pie things for everyone for dessert and that I ate the caramel that goes with the apples (twice the calories of the apples!) That added up to a hefty 320 in just those two items.. but the GOOD in this is that it was my first venture into fast food / eating out since i started a couple weeks or so ago and I'm proud that i ate better than I ever would have in the past, and I learned some things. And to top it off i got on the scale this morning worried i would have gain from over eating and sodium content but instead i had reached (and passed!) my new years 10 pound goal :) |
i did yoga this morning! after a long night at the hospital i woke up stiff as a board. did some yoga a little while ago, looking forward to tae-bo and capoeria later today!
BTW, phoenix, great job keeping control of your self at mcdonalds. that place can be a dieters death trap but in my opinion you did a swell job : ) |
I wrote down everything I ate/will eat today - and totalled the calories. I've been making educated guesses lately because I'm a little lazy. ;)

Today I went to the gym and finished 30 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes of strength training followed by 10 minutes on the bikes!!!

Monday, 12/21/09: I LOST TWO POUNDS!!!! Weighed myself this morning and yup, 2 pounds have dropped off my body never to be seen again. I havent lost any weight in a long time and it feels fantastic!!! 3 more pounds and I'll be out of the 220's!!! Woop woop!!

walk/jogged 2.5 miles today and could have kept going! woooo!!!! i feel like a million bucks!

Today I brought my own lunch to school instead of spending money on buying food. I had:

1.) Went grocery shopping and made only smart, healthy choices (lots of fresh fruits and veggies!)
2.) Cooked a very healthy lunch and dinner for the family and myself 3.) Day 1 of EA Sports Active will 30 Day Challenge :) |
Small step for mankind, big for me...i faced my fear and read my email without too much procrastination (regarding a difficult subject with my son). I kinda have an avoidance approach when i'm stressed.
