Hey ladies, is it too late to join this challenge? I weighed in at 159.2 today! I'm so excited and looking to be out of the 150s at least by Valentine's day!

Welcome back, Lisa! No one can deny the holidays are hard but I'm glad you're back with us.

bama girl, it's not exactly a challenge (well, it is a personal challenge) because we only set our own goals. More of a discussion of people in the 150s so of course you can join us! Welcome. We're been quiet lately with Christmas but we are an awesome bunch of ladies!

So, I think the stress is actually helping me. I can't sit still without thinking about this last month so my solution is not to sit still for too long. Official weigh in today was 155 which done .4 from last week! I should have been around 149 by the first but clearly that isn't going to happen. I look forward to just getting it done in the new year. Don't know how much I'll be on this weekend so I want to wish all my '50s gals all the best in the New Year!

Good to know. Thanks for letting me join y'all. I am so excited. I just weighed myself and I'm at 158.6. considering that's almost a pound from yesterday morning, I know it's probably just water weight, but it's so awesome to see the numbers come down!

Hi everyone! Oh this is just what I need. It feels as though I am permanently stuck in the 150's and it's great to find a group of people all in the same boat as me! So I am officially 158.8lb and my weigh days are each Sunday. Let's beat the 150's together!

bama girl--WELCOME!! Good luck to you!!

Kurri--congrats on your loss!

Rainswept--
So sorry to hear you're going through such a rough time. Hang in there!!

Collegegirl--CONGRATS on getting out of the 150s!!! Hopefully see you there soon (that is, if you're not in the 130s by the time I get there!! haha!)

As for myself, I've STILL been hanging out around 158-159 all week. Today I weighed 160.2, but TOM showed up, so at least I know its not a real gain. I'll still be staying in this group. This week things will be settling back down (friends leaving, holidays over) so I'll be able to get back to my normal routine. I'm a little bummed I didn't lose...ANYTHING..all month, but I'm happy I didn't gain (especially over the past couple weeks). Time to get serious!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!

Sorry, I haven't checked in in a while either.
My scale at home claims I weigh 152, though I still don't think I lost 2 pounds over break, as I've been eating enough to just barely maintain or even gain a pound. I'm thinking that this scale might be 3 pounds lower than my other one. So I won't be shocked if my scale says 155 when I go back to school.
But if I really AM at 152 that'd be pretty awesome! Only 7 pounds to goal then!!!!

Amba: Yeah I never used to bloat at TOM at all until I was a normal BMI, and now I do see a bit of a gain around that time now. But it's not real!!!! lol

rainsweptviola: I'm sorry you've had to go through such a tough time. I hope you feel better and I'm glad you're still able to lose despite your troubles!

Ugh! I am so mad. I weighed in this morning at 161.0. HOW did I do that?! How do you generally know if it's water weight or real weight?

Meg--I never even used to HAVE periods when I was heavier...I would only have maybe 2 or 3 a year. Since I lost the first 10-15lbs, I have had one every month. This one has been the worst so far--especially with the bloating & cramps!!

bama girl--It's kind of hard to tell sometimes, but I would say it is definitely water weight in your case. A lot of things can cause you to retain water--eating foods that are high in sodium, not drinking enough water, exercising (sore muscles will retain water), your period. If your weight goes up a pound or more within just a few days I would say it is all water weight (especially if you've been on track with your eating and exercise routine). Don't stress too much about it--and drink lots and lots of water!!!

Amba, I say after TOM you and I kick it into action. I want to lose these last 20 pounds before my cousin's wedding which is March 20th!! That's almost 2 pounds a week. This plateau is not cutting it for me anymore!

Over the summer I got back to 155, but I went back up all the way to 170.. now after a couple weeks I am down to 162. Can't wait to make it into the 150's and then finally LEAVE the 150's again !!

I'm withdrawing from this thread (well, I'll stick around for a few days and read replies from y'all but then after that I'm withdrawin'! ). I had a crazy revelation today and realized that I am truly ready for maintenance. I look perfect at this weight and I'm healthy and I am now ready to invest my energies into maintaining that weight, eating healthy, and exercising right. I am going to get more active in the maintainer's forum. But more importantly, I am also going to keep posting in the 20-somethings, and rooting you all on!!!!! I'll be posting my goal story in the next few days. Thank you all for always being there and rooting me on. Maybe I will eventually lose 7 more pounds and end up at my original goal of 145, or maybe I won't. The difference is that it's no longer a goal of mine. I'm healthy and I'm happy, and that's what matters most. I never imagined I would get this far. I'm so proud of myself for accomplishing what I had previously only dreamed of.
(Sorry for any of you that had to read this twice, as I posted it in all threads I was active in involving current weight loss.)
