Hey all! I only lost like half a pound last week. So frustrating! But well that just means I have to push myself even harder this week!
Sun - My parents were originally from India too. I know exactly how you feel. When I went back last year I felt so disgusting being so overweight after my kids. I lost quite a lot of weight in India even though I was eating sweets like crazy and so much junk just because I walked SOOOOOO much! So, ttyl all! |
pinkberry - I'm with you on not wanting to buy new bottoms... I think I only do because I've been in uncharted territory, lol. New sizes are exciting, but I try not to spend too much. ;) Sorry about the yucky dress getting stuck on you! Eeps! Is it comfortable at least?
miss - Hey! Good to see you around! sun - Thanks for the info on your hr monitor. I think they're awesome, but am cheap myself so I'll have to shop for a bargain, lol. How fun you're going to India!! I would love to go there! I'm sure you'll have a great time AND lose more weight! fashin - Bummer about yesterday. At least you're back on track today and that's what's important! I sure hope your interview goes well this morning and look at you ms smarty pants! A 95%!!! WTG! Your weight will be back to normal in no time and then down it'll go! :D 5factor - Hey, at least that's another 1/2 pound to add to all the weight you'll never be seeing again! Woo! Well, of course you all were right and the scale liked me better today. I almost pulled off a 154, but not quite. =/ I had a fantastic run last night and braved the stairmaster. At first I felt silly because I couldn't get it to work so I had to grab a PT to show me. He got it going and then I went for just more than 5 minutes. I thought it was supposed to work my rear, but man HELLO top of my thighs! I suddenly feel confident I'll see 154 again by the weekend (at the latest) and for that I'm glad. Now just to keep my eating in check with all the Easter celebration. :) |
Kirjava- I'm not going to lie, I'm a little jealous of your Inuit culture celebration. Especially the part where you got to climb an icy hill. I'm sure I'm just romanticizing icy hill climbing though.
Pinkberrry- I went to Old Navy last week and bought one cheap (clearance) pair of pants that actually fit me. Having clothes that fit (particularly bottoms) motivates me to do well, because I feel cute instead of like my clothes are falling down all the time. I just can't wait until I can buy a whole new wardrobe! fashin- Good luck with the potential new job! Accounts payable actually sounds pretty fun to me... I definitely ate too much (in terms of calories, not quantity) last night, but it was delicious and I'm not going to go regretting it now. I was also at least a little proud of myself because I got a beer but I only drank two thirds of it- I figure every little bit I save helps. Today I need to get on track and go grocery shopping- hold me to this please! I'll come back tomorrow (as long as I remember) and tell you whether or not I took the initiative to go buy healthy food for my family. |
pinkberrry- I can totally relate to the bridesmaid dress fiasco. Last year I got stuck with a terrible bridesmaid dress that was stretchy brown lace with a weird thick material underneath it. Picture stretched out gross brown flowers in all the areas a dress has to stretch, with the awful white acting like a highlighter to my *ahem* not so flattering areas. That said, I don't think your dress is as bad as you think it is. :) You're beautiful, so I'm sure people won't be looking at the color anyway.

I weighed in at 144.2 today! My second week under 150! :carrot::carrot:
Thank you guys for suggesting moving the tracker/threads right away to keep me accountable. I know I don't post here too much and I still don't know anyone here but I appreciate the support and advice so much  |
paja - Good for you on your decisions!
tina - That's what we're all here for! Good luck in the 140s! So I've been weighing in at 155, which isn't bad but it's not 154 =/ Hope to see scale movement by my 'official' WI Sunday. :) I hope you're all having a lovely morning. |
Hi all! I hope you're having a good day so far!
Tina, woo hoo congrats!! stargzr, yay 155 is awesome girl I'm sure you'll see 154 very soon don't fret!! Well I had my official formal interview this morning and it went really well and I just got the call that they want to schedule me for my second interview in the morning and I should know in a week or two whether I got it or not! It's all going so fast I'm so excited but trying not to get my hopes up too high ya know? But now I have to think about telling my current boss that I might be leaving soon... As for my diet it's going well I'm working on getting that water weight off from all the sodium I had Tuesday and the scale's going down slowly but surely! :) |
fashin - I'm sure that sodium weight is falling right off you! Your next WI will be great! I'm sure you're excited about your second interview! Hooray on doing so well with the first one!
|
fashin- Continued good luck on the next interview!
I did in fact make it to the grocery store yesterday, but probably only because I knew I would have to tell you if I didn't do it. Then I got to make dinner... so nice! I need people in my life who can remind me that I really do like cooking better than I like eating out, even though I often think otherwise. Tonight- tacos, if the avocado is ripe, barley pilaf if it isn't. |
Thanks stargzr! :)
And thank you too paja! Great job on getting that grocery shopping in I always forget how much I love cooking too, and tacos w/ avacado sounds yummy I hope it's ripe! ;) |
Tina good job! So proud of you to make it out of the 150s! That's what this threads all about right! Soon we'll all join you! ;)
Fashin - Oh so happy for you! Good luck! I am going for an interview on Wednesday and I am sooo full of nerves right now. It's so the right job for me and I don't doubt for a second that I would do amazing at that job! But first I just gotta land the job. Yesterday and today have been really horrible (diet wise). My mother in law just came home after like a year away and so we've been eating out while getting her set at home and getting her papers and stuff. So let's see...probably not any better this week for weight loss :( But I don't think I gained... :| |

Okay seriously I am so fickin happy right now. Weigh in this morning was 159.6. 4 years I have been working on this (started at 215) and 3 years ago I got into the low 160's and have been trapped there ever since. 3 years I have worked to get into the 150's. Sometimes I would gain 10 pounds and then lose it and then be stuck there again. Maybe 2 times I have seen the high 150's but it only lasts a day or two and then I seem to give up and go back into the 160's. I swear this is it - after 3 years I am so stick of being 160. Finally 150 - this time I can stay there and get lower. I just need to post and keep going!
:carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: |
paja - Good for you making it to the store! Hooray! I hope your dinner was good no matter which option you went with. :)
5factor - Much luck with the interview!! I sure hope you get it, especially since this is what you really want to do! Sorry to hear your diet hasn't been going that well, but it sounds like it hasn't been *too* bad so that's good. Hopefully no gains for you. ;) sotypical - How exciting!! I'm so glad you're in the 150s! You can totally do it this time! We believe in you!!!! :woohoo: I had a binge last night, it was bad. BUT I promised that if I still saw 155 on the scale this morning I would NEVER do that again... and the scale said 155 this morning. I asked hubby to throw away all of the leftovers and any candy I might have lying around. I *promise* to all of you that if I ever feel like binging again I will come here and post instead. I'm pretty excited about tonight because I'm going to do a long run to see how far I can go. ;) What are your plans for Easter weekend? :) |
sotypical- YAY!!! Oh man the 160's were my curse too!! I stayed in the 160's for 2 years bouncing up and down 5 lbs ugh! So glad youre joining us in the 150's!!
fishin- I'm sure youre second interview is gonna go great!! Let us know how it goes! 5factor- GOOD LUCK on your interview!!! I'm sure they will see you'll be perfect for it :D Sometimes its good to just have a week to maintain and get some practice for goal :) Just dont go too crazy and you'll be great! paja- Woot good job shopping AND cooking!! I despise grocery shopping but home cooked food really does taste so much better! YAY its Friday!! I love the weekends since we finally have a group of we can hang out with so we've been having game night every weekend :) Being a stay at home mom its sooooo nice to talk to other adults lol. Only bad thing is there is always LOTS of food and snacks....like tonight everyone is making a different kind of fondue so I just decided to be in charge of dessert so I can make sure there is lots of fruits I love and then I wont even need the chocolate ;) |
