Do any of you here weigh more than your man?

I weigh 35 lbs more than mine and I HATE IT SO MUCH. I know I can lose 35 lbs pretty easily, but I am just so impatient and I'm so sick of being fat and carrying around this weight. Also my boyfriend needs to lose about 10-15 lbs too, but it's nothing compared to me.

LookingForMeAgain 12-05-2009 06:03 PM

Uh yea right now by 75 pounds and all but two of my boyfriends before I met my husband were considerably smaller than me.
But Im hoping to soon be less than my hubby! He has a few pounds to lose to but Im hoping we can get healthy together.

Ugh mine was complaining about how fat he was. so we went to the health club together for the $35/a couple 5-week biggest loser 'competition' (anonymous weigh in). I get on the scale after telling them I'm down quite a bit from 260...WI at 228. (5'6", large frame, size 11 feet, BIG hands).

He gets up there. 5'10". has a bit of a pot belly. His family has the tiniest frames...his feet are the same size as mine, ring only a little bigger, fingers shorter. The gals in his family weigh 105 and are 5'2" size 0 waifs, while in my family they weigh 150 and are 5'6" size 6 hourglass types. He's got a Ph.D. and people describe him physically as "geeky" just so you get an idea of his build. again, complaining about his fatness, I know he's been nearly 200 before, so I assume that's where he is.

155. My man was 155 on the scale.

The really annoying thing? I lost 15 pounds in 5 weeks. He gained 10 and ruined my % of total body weight loss. I could have totally won the competition if he'd even just lost 2 pounds. stinker.

They're going to have the competition again in January. I need a new partner.

I do! Of course I'm taller than him too, so that contributes a bit. He's a pretty intense athlete and weighs about 140. So a good 30 pounds more than him, although when we started dating it was about 50 pounds.
To be honest the height gets me more than the weight does, I'm taller than him so I should weigh more, or around the same. I totally get your feeling though, because it's really that I don't like being so much "bigger" than him, whether is be because of height or weight.

I am about 25 pounds heavier than my husband. He's pretty skinny so i will be very happy when I weight less than him.

 you're hilarious. Go get yourself a new partner and leave that buff man of yours at the weight bench. ;)

All of my boyfriends were smaller, but very athletic and cut. It was like a double insult. Even though I am smaller now I definitely appreciate my 6'0 210 DH.

Don't currenlt have one, but I've weighed more than any man I've ever been with. Well... one of them might have weighed about the same, but he's 6'4!

babes315 12-05-2009 07:17 PM

Yeah, I weigh more then my husband too. He wears a 32" waist, and I am a size 16. For Halloween, he wore my size 10 black leather pants and was "Undercover Brother". He looked good, but of course in the back of my head I was thinking how I haven't been able to fit into those for about 8 years!

MaryEllen 12-05-2009 07:42 PM

I've always had such self esteem issues that I never even look at guys thinner than me, and if they look at me I always wonder why. haha haven't been able to break that trend til a couple months ago....so it's getting better....

But yeah. I'm always afraid I'll look like Gigantor or something. :P

Ugh I used HATE it when my bf would try on my jeans. He's 5'9", I'm 5'4", and we weighed the same when we started dating (165); then I got about 10lbs on him before I started losing. Now he's gained 10lbs (muscle; he started working out...it's so unfair how quickly guys can build significant amts of muscle) and we're even further apart, which I like :) I think BMI is even more ridiculous for men than women. My bf is nowhere near what anyone would consider fat, nor is he ridiculously built, and yet his bmi is over 25.

I'm 50 pounds bigger than my man. But he hardly cares at all. I'm about a half inch taller than him...which is enough to give him a complex. hehe.

We're both trying to lose weight... my BF was about 210 and was able to drop 20 pounds in a few months. So now he's in the 180's and wants to lose another 10 pounds before he starts weight training his way to 10-15 pounds of muscle.
Though he's taking a WAY laid back approach to it... while I have to work hard to see any weight loss. Sometimes I feel like that lady in the Slimquick commercial. All he did was cut out some carbs and go on a 3 hour hike once a week and the weight was melting off of him.

My boyfriend (we're engaged to be engaged, ha) is 13 pounds LIGHTER than me. Although Ive also lost 26 pounds in the past couple months so Im getting there! I figure after I lose enough to be a few pounds less than him I'll finally tell him what I weigh. I always make him look the other way when Im weighing at the fitness center. I think he has a pretty good idea of how much I weigh though so ehhh. lol He knows Im almost at 10% and how much Ive lost so Im sure he's done the math! Booo!

LittleMoonRabbit 12-05-2009 11:41 PM

until recently, I have always weighed more than my husband. We are the same height. It's so nice to actually weigh less than him for once. I always felt like I was crushing the poor guy when I would sit on his lap. Now, I don't feel so bad :)

Ali87 12-06-2009 02:11 AM

I weigh around 45lbs heavier then my boyfriend. Though he's 5'11" he's pretty skinny. But the difference never really bothered me so much just the fact that i was overweight and couldn' figure out why a normal, good-looking guy wanted to go out with me....I'm still waiting for him to show more wierdo tendancies lol.

KDM322 12-06-2009 02:17 AM

I've always been heavier than my hubby...but that will soon change...he ranges from 185-190 so hopefully by the new year, I'll be lighter...it does bother me being bigger than him...that was my first real goal...to be less than DH...i guess we're engrained to think the woman should be smaller....but as we see, that's not ALWAYS the case!!
