baby steps

ok, so i'm back and trying to get back into the right train of thought. back to reality! no more eating whatever, whenever. i'm starting small. getting back into healthy eating habits then i'm going to start with the exercise. packed a sandwich, apple slices, and sugar free pudding for lunch tomorrw.

Good job! I think that is the best way for some people (me included) to get back into the swing of things. I know if I try to shock my system too much I end up giving up after 2 weeks. Good luck on your weight loss and hooray for baby steps :)

That's what I had to do also when I decided to finally start losing! I ate right for about a month and then added some light exercise. I fell off the wagon several times with exercise, being sick and unmotivated haha! But everytime I start exercising again, I feel soooo much better! Just keep going and you'll do great!!

Great job, you are in the same boat as me. I would recommend making a goal post in the December challenge thread. Since I'm starting out again too I just decided to make it my goal to drink mostly water for the rest of the month (no pop..) and exercise on the wii more regularly, then you update the post with what you accomplish.

Sounds like you're on the right track starting back! I did the same thing--started eating right first, with a little exercise here and there. Now that I'm a couple months into it, I have started a more consistent daily work-out routine. Best of luck to you!!! :)

Good job! I actually started it the opposite. I started exercising first, then started eating right. I think it is easier for you to stick to it if you don't try to start everything at once. Good luck!

I agree it's easier to get going if you don't shock yourself. That might mean starting healthy eating first then introducing exercise later, or visa versa. What i'm doing is slowly increasing both. I started with just walking more, and trying to cut out sugar and empty carbs. Now I'm in the full swing exercise-wise, and I'm trying one new healthy recipe each week to add to my healthy cooking repertoire :)
