Sushi Question

So...I had sushi for lunch and I'm trying not to go over on my points b/c it looks like I might not be able to work out (unexpected company coming over).

I had 3 veggie rolls - 1 asparagus, 1 avocado and 1 cucumber. According to WW, 1 roll is 2 points, but they qualify it by saying 1 roll = 4 pieces.

Um, I've always seen sushi come in 6 pieces per roll.

So now I'm wondering okay, do I consider this 6 points or 9 points, and does it really matter...

Advice?

I'd like to know too, I have a sushi dinner planned with a friend!

I googled and possibly answered my own question, but it depends on the restaurant and how they are cut.

So I'm calling mine as 6 pieces per roll, because they actually were quite small, but thicker pieces would be considered 4 per roll.

wait, you had 3 rolls right? So it doesnt matter how many pieces theyre cut into? Im confused >.<

Sorry, I typed that as I thought it, so not very clear.

I had 3 "rolls" as per the restaurant (cut into 6 pieces each, so a total of 18 pieces)

But according to weight watchers 1 roll = 4 pieces of sushi (instead of 6) and that is 2 points.

However, I get veggie rolls, not fishy rolls, and they are usually cut and rolled very thin, so I was arguing with the 4 pieces = 1 roll.

So, I'm just saying my veggie rolls (6 pieces each) each are 2 points.

This made my head hurt! haha Im just kidding...but I think you're right with each roll being 2 points.

Sushi sounds so yummy. I might have to get some!

Its worked for me, its just sushi is so ambiguous. And I refuse to believe that 3 tiny rolls of vegetarian sushi is the same point value as a 6 oz steak. Nuh-uh.

Also, I skipped the steak tonight, it was frozen. Went with chicken breast and veggies instead.

although it is white rice, and they do put sugar in the sushi vinegar...but i have no idea what 6oz is is grams :dizzy:

If they're maki sushi (ie. small rolls with like only one item in each), then I'd say 2 points. Rolls (where the rice is on the outside and they are almost twice the diameter and stuffed with more than one vegetable/fish) would probably be 4 points for each.
Lol confusing! My estimates are based on the amount of rice in the sushi, which is really where all the points are coming from if they're vegetarian.

Aneleh!!!

They were tiny, with one thing in the middle, and the rice was on the inside of the seaweed.
