another boy thread...
Now that I'm 20, I feel more comfortable posting in the 20 somethings thread. I met this boy a couple weeks ago at a birthday party and we went out dancing. We spent most of our time talking(in a nightclub, which is hard) and we danced a little bit too. At one point I got up on stage to dance(little tipsy) and he whistled and seemed into me. We ended up exchanging cell numbers, but he never texted me. Everybody was telling me that he seemed he really into me, but now I'm not so sure. We've hung out a few times in the group, but nothing special.
Thoughts???? Commentaries? What is the perspective on the situation from an outsider? P.S. For those worried about underage drinking, I am in Paris right now. So don't report me to the authorities or anything ;) |
Who asked to exchange numbers first?
|
He suggested we hang out again and I asked if he wanted my cell number so we could get together. So technically I did, but he posed the lead in question.

Don't over think anything :)
Girls tend to do everything on a polar side: Either he must be absolutely in to you and he's trying to play it cool; or he isn't interested in you at all and you must be very silly to not see it. It's totally possible he was in to you at the time. It's possible he's still in to you. It's possible he was just out having fun. It's possible he has no intentions of ever texting you. It's possible he's preparing to propose to you. (Maybe not practical... but possible..!) I think what's important is you just take whatever it is as it comes in relationships. If he's interested, that's great. But if he's not? That's perfectly fine too! I think people so often try to over analyze relationships, that they spend too much energy trying to see connections in other people where they may not be - resulting in bad relationships, instead of relaxing and enjoying the ride and embracing the connection if and when it naturally happens (= good relationship!) But that's just my two-cents :) |
Hehe, I definitely don't want a relationship! I am only here for four and a half more weeks, so I want to have some fun!
I totally overthink everything to do with boys. It is also possible, being that I was a little *ahem* tipsy when I entered my number into his phone that I put it in wrong too. I guess I should stop worrying about it. It's so hard not to! |
I say..why wait for him to text you? Text him and see if he responds...then play it by ear and see how it goes!!
Good luck! |
Just text him, there is no reason not to!
|
ESPECIALLY because you aren't going to be there too long I think you should text.
It can't hurt and there is nothing that can really go wrong because you know it's just for a quick fun fling, even if just for friendship! Do it. |
If he's into you he will call but if he doesn't it's his loss!
|
I think you should have fun in Paris (how I envy you right now!)
If you're really into him, then I say text him. either way have fun, and just go with it. I don't think you'll regret anything if you just go with it! |
