am I doing something wrong?

So, i've been working out every day or at least 5 days a week, running and power walking on my treadmill for at least 30-50 minutes, and I've been watching what I've been eating, but IM GAINING weight!?

WTF mate. grrrr....

telling me should I be doing something else? Im not sure what else I can do. :?::?:

How long have you been working out 5 days a week? I know when I started, I GAINED 5 pounds the first month. I didn't lose for 5-6 weeks. Not a single pound...I just kept with it and eventually my body got used to the workouts and the change in eating habits and it started coming off...

How many calories a day are you eating ?

Lindsay, I can't tell you. I'm in the same boat...

You're gaining muscle and loosing inches

But you should be aware of the amount of calories you are eating. Too Little and your body might be holding onto everything you eat. Try upping your calories by 100 or 200.

are you drinking enough water?

Like everyone said, you need to look at what you're eating vs how much exercise. it could be that you started gaining muscle. Don't let the scale be your only way of measuring weight loss, try to keep measurements i.e. inches. And also keep track of the calories you are eating vs the calories you are burning to make sure that nothing is sneaking in, or that you are burning more than what you consume.. good luck :)

YAY thanks for all your advice. I mean I think im getting enough, I mean since i live on my own now, I've cut my calorie intakes in half, from what I used to be eating.

But I don't drink enough water. I know I should be.

thanks for everyones help.

You can actually gain a lot of water weight if you start hardcore working out, so my advice is to pay attention to what you eat/drink but otherwise don't flip about numbers. Notice how strong you feel and how great you look!

I definitely second using inches/how clothes fit to judge progress, and good luck :)
