Compliments
 

So last night i received a compliment. But i was more offended than taking it as one. this guy i am friends with but wants to date me, but he is not my type whatsoever and i just don't see him in that way. he said that he likes my big but n he likes that fact that it moves like jello. i've been working soo hard to get be smaller and i feel like that just set me back n that i need to work harder. i told him i was offended i think he kinda felt bad. idk u guys ever get said anything like that?

Wow. I think that "I like the shape of your butt" is a compliment (no matter what size the butt is). But adding, "...it moves like Jello." Well....nobody but a 2 year old or a drunk guy would think that could be anything that a woman would find complimentary! I'm glad that you spoke up and told him it was offensive.

PS.....I'm looking at your ticker and wanted to congratulate you on your hard work--89 lbs down! Way to go!

I know it wasn't said the right way, but many guys like a badonkadonk that moves. Hence the "shake that ***" and other cat calls. I have no butt, and would like some, so I wont get that. (could shake my thighs instead, but that doesnt seem very attractive. lol). He needed to know that it wasn't presented the right way, but I can see where he is coming from.

Sounds like he was truly trying to give you a compliment... in a backwards, idiot guy way..... but he's just kinda too immature to realize how dumb and ghetto and petty that sounded and probably made you feel. Since you're friends with him, I'm assuming he's a pretty decent person for the most part so I'd say he probably just doesn't have any other means to expressing himself. Give him a few years....? lol

That is like a backdoor compliment. ALso makes me wonder what he is doing looking at your bootie and what he really wants.

Yeah, it was totally a compliment. He wasn't trying to be a jerk, but unfortionatly that comes natural to guys.

If anyone's ever seen "Some Like it Hot" - Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon describe Marilyn Monroe's booty as moving like jello - and it was so totally a compliment.

Well, at least he was trying to give you a compliment, even if it didn't come out that way. Good for you for sating it was offensive. But you have come a long way, so don't let it discourage you. You are doing great.
