Angry Work out clothes

So, I know there's a forum specifically for clothes, beauty and whatnot however I've been having issues finding age appropriate work out clothes.

Everything I find that fits my very wide shoulders and large bust (aka plus size ) is old and frumpy looking. I don't want work out clothes that have more floral patterns than my grandma's couch. Yuck. I went to 10 different stores last night and just ended up mad and depressed.

My mom suggested just buying mens shirts and wearing sweats. First off, I have never owned a pair of sweats, I loathe them. Secondly, I'm liking my body better now and don't want to cover it up in some garbage just because it fits. So, after that incredibly long backstory:

Where do you find stylish work out clothes that don't cost an arm and a leg?

Try New York and Company (not sure if its in your area). They do have active wear for less, plus if you join their e-mail listing they regularly send you coupons. Those coupons significantly reduces the price of items.

Target and Walmart have good ones

I spent like maybe $60 for 3 shirts and two of the sweats that are kind of like capris

I agree with Target and Wal-Mart - I only really buy shorts or capris though since I'm a t-shirt freak I have plenty of those! I'm not yet to the point where I want to feel stylish while I'm huffing and puffing so I haven't splurged on anything special

My Old Navy work out pants are the most comfortable things EVER.

I have the Old Navy workout pants (I guess they are technically yoga pants) but I run in them. I just wear tshirts for the tops.

i second target and old navy.

i have the old navy yoga capris and they are my fav workout pant. i also wear some old navy loose fitting capris made out of a terry material that are comfortable and dont make your butt look like a stuffed sausage.

and i have a ton of workout clothes from target's C9 collection made by champion. reasonably priced, moisture wicking, and come in lots of styles, the tank tops will probably fit a bustier frame better than the tshirts, those are a little snug.

hope this helps, cute/functional workout clothes are out there!

Yes, I agree with everyone that said old navy. I wear their yoga pants for all my workout, and they're great. And I have tank tops from them that I work out in as well. Not too expensive either.

I'm feeling a little better now it was just so frustrating last night. I checked NY&C and they do not have a plus sized line. And so far as I could tell Target didn't have any of their Champion line above an XXL which I can wear in pants but NOT in tops.

I did check Old Navy online and their pants and tank tops both look really comfy. I totally forgot about them. When I was smaller I shopped there then gained all my weight before they had any plus sizes.

I'm kinda weird but I hate working out in a t-shirt; I always prefer some sort of tank top.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!!

LOVE Old Navy yoga pants. I live in them outside of work. And I wear just tank tops over my sports bra collection (I have to wear 2-3 b/c I'm chesty).

Target usually has some good stuff, and I was just in Wal Mart last week and they had some really cute stuff too.

I agree, Target is awesome. They have Champion merchandise or clearance quite often. Plus, if you have a store like Ross or TJ Maxx around you, thats another good bet. I just got a great totally cute Reebok workout tanktop for $5 last week.

Another vote for Old Navy! Go to the store instead of online if you can - the yoga pants run big-ish. I traded in the XXLs I bought at 320+ for XLs at 300.

TJMaxx is also good and they have nice gear up to 3X sometimes. A lot of Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Champion, etc
