doubt
So like many before me, I stand, all be it most times naked, in front of the mirror on a morning and see no difference from the girl half a year ago that weighed 200 lbs.
Yes my clothes fit a little loser, but over all i think i'm the same. I made a post on a "new year new you" thread when i first joined 3fc and stumbled across it this afternoon. Here is what I was: My starting point: Weight: 197.2 Waist - 36 3/4″ Hips - 43 3/4″ Under bust - 39″ Bust - 44 1/2″ Upper Thigh - 26 1/2″ Bicep- 12 3/4″ What I am now: Weight : 177.8lbs Waist : 33 1/2" -3 1/4" Hips : 40 1/2"-2 1/4" Thigh : 21" 5 1/2"!!!! Arm : 12" -3/4" Holy cow! I've lost 5 1/2 inches off of my thigh?! thats 11 inches combined on both!!! And all together 11 3/4"~!?? Let's see some stats ladies! |

I think it's such a great idea to track your measurements. I've noticed that weeks when I don't lose a lot of weight, my inches are still going down... it keeps me motivated! I can also understand looking in the mirror and not seeing any difference sometimes... on a bad day, nothing fits and I'm still 213 lbs. Ugh!
Here are my stats: Feb 2009 Starting Weight: 213 lbs Starting Hips: 49.5″ Starting Waist: 40.5″ Starting Thighs: 29″ Starting Calves: 15″ Starting Bust: 42″ Starting Arms: 16″ July 2009 Weight: 171.8 (-41.2) Hips: 40.5″ (-9) Waist: 34″ (-6.5) Thighs: 23″ (-6) Calves: 14″ (-1) Bust: 36″ (-6) Arms: 13″ (-3) It's a little unreal (not in a good way) that my hips used to be nearly 50 inches.. wow. See, we ARE smaller, even if we don't perceive it while looking in the mirror! ;) |
I just started taking my measurements in May, not in March when I started, but here goes:
May 26, 2009 Weight: 208.2 Waist: 36.5 Hips: 44.25 Bust: 41.5 Under Bust: 39 Right Thigh: 25 Left Thigh: 25 Right Calf: 17.5 Left Calf: 17.5 Right Arm: 13.5 Left Arm: 13.5 July 25, 2009 Weight: 198.6 Waist: 33.5 Bust: 40 Under Bust: 36 Right Thigh: 20.5 Left Thigh: 20.5 Right Calf: 16.5 Left Calf: 17.0 Right Arm: 13.5 Left Arm: 13.5 I know I've lost a lot more inches off my waist/hips, I just didn't record it, but I can definately tell the difference between my thighs/hips/butt. Damn my arms and calves. Damn them. |
I started taking these measurements like... *thinks* in late June? So my results are pretty paltry so far as it's only been a month, but...
Late June: Natural Waist: 31.5 inches Hips (around bellybutton): 38.5 inches Thighs: 23.2 inches Late July: Natural Waist: 30 inches Hips (around bellybutton): 37.5 inches Thighs: 22.75 inches |
I also don't take a lot of measurements, but here's what I have
March 2009: Waist (narrowest part): 34 Hips (widest part): 43 Thigh (widest part): 26 Bust: 38 July 2009: Waist: 29 Hips: 39 Thigh: 24 Bust: 36 Not very accurate, but it shows some progress :) ETA: dang I have some huge thighs :dizzy: On another note, I felt great, totally different after I lost about 20lbs, but after a couple of weeks, the mentality is creeping back that I look the same, I'm still just as fat. I can't really see myself as any different. The only difference I still really see is my face. |
