I can't remember the last time I used the word "diet." I generally say I'm trying to lose weight or that I'm watching what I'm eating.

To me, "diet" seems much more short-lived, whereas I'm changing my way of viewing food and trying to be healthy!

To me, a diet is when you're on a written plan with certain limits - like Atkins or South Beach.
