Sick...Gym?
Hey all. So I've been sick for several days and have not been doing my usual gym routine and running. However, I have had no appetite and have lost a few pounds because of it, but not eating is not the way I want to lose weight because I know it will come right back. I'm going back in to work today so I am feeling just a bit better and I was wondering your opinion...should I hit the gym today or wait until I feel absolutely 100%? Also, some of my appetite is back so I will have energy from food. Any input would be great...just want to do this the healthy way!

If I were you I would go to the gym but have a "lighter" workout

I don't know anytime I try to work out while sick I get very dizzy, I don't even try anymore- I'd rather focus my energy 100% on getting better.

I was told that if it's anything in my chest...like a cough or chest cold, then stay away from working out 'til it's gone. But if I've got a little cold or something I keep working out, just maybe at a lighter rate, and I pay attention to my body more. If I'm feeling weak sooner than normal, etc., I'll call it a day.
About mid-weight loss journey I got the flu, and didn't work out for about a week and a half, until it was totally gone (even though I felt mostly fine after about 4 days). It was like day one all over again... |
