Post Has anyone tried...

the extreme cereal diet? i thought i would try it out 4 like 2wks to see cuz i have been stuck on this number for quite a while now and its driving me crazy. lol it should be interesting cuz i dont really eat cereal. it would be nice 2 lose up 2 14lbs a wk but i would be happy w/ 5 lbs a week. can u eat bread? http://www.associatedcontent.com/art...oes.html?cat=5

Sorry, no. But I must admit that I was the tiniest bit disappointed by the diet description. I thought for sure that the diet would be all cereal, all the time. That would have been AWESOME. ::brb, getting myself a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats::

14 lbs a week is not good for you!

I want to lose weight fast, but I also don't want to lose it too fast because I am terrified of "excess skin."

I figure if I lose it slowly enough, my skin will shrink back naturally.

That's also why I really want to lose the weight in my 20s and not when I am older - more elasticity in my skin.

i never wanted said i wanted to lose 14lbs (it would be nice) but i would settle 4 atleast 5lbs a wk n i really dont believe 5lbs is not that bad for me since im still in the 300s (n trying to get out of the 300s) i am trying it 4 2 wks to see if i can get off of my plateau. ive tried everything n nothing seems to wrk so i thought i would try it and see. im not trying to lose it fast either it has taken me a yr and 3 months to get 80lbs off. so i must be doing something right. i just cant get off this number.

Never tried it and don't think I will because cereal is a trigger for me. Meaning once I open the box I usually finish it within like a day or two. I'm not good at stopping when it's done bc the cereal isnt' filling to me. I wonder if it really works...let me know if you try it!

My only concern was that 160 calories of cereal is not a lot of food depending on the cereal. I need volume to be satisfied.

shredded mini wheat is 240cal (chocolate) and ur fig ur eating every 2 hrs cuz u have the snacks in between

I went a week in college and ate only cereal and fruit. It was on a dare, but I lost like 10 or 11 lbs. I love cereal, but it's not something I would want to do again.

I'm not sure if "Extreme" is a word that you want to associate with one's weight loss plan, IMO. It really doesn't seem to leave any room for fruits or veggies, or lean protein. You may lose weight with this "diet", but what happens when you go back to eatting regularly? I might be just best to slowly introduce good whole grains, fruits, veggies and proteins in to your meal plan. "Diets" rarely work, lifestyle changes are forever.

im eating fruits and veggies as my snacks and as for protein im eating fish chkn, ground turkey for dinner the only thing diff than wha i noramlly do is eating cereal for lunch and eating a tblsp of pb when i eat the healthy snacks so i can get that protein. im not going under 1200 cal.
