Summer Activities
Hello everyone!
I am planning on joining an adult co-ed softball team this summer to help me get moving and meet some new people, but I am a little scared I won't be good enough lol. I guess they can just deal with it. Has anyone joined any community activities to help them get out and about this summer? It's just such an awkward time to try and meet people after you graduate college. Sheesh! |
I joined a kickball team and it's a LOT of fun. A lot of people use it as a reason to just get together and drink beer, but I use it for the exercise. As someone who hated team sports when I was younger I had to get over a certain amount of fear, but it's been worth it!

I'm with JuneBug. I've played kickball for about 8 years now and it is a BLAST!!!! We have so much fun every week. Fortunately for me the park is within walking distance so I get double the workout.

Well my neighbor is always inviting me to come play soccer with a group of professors and students but there is no way in **** you're going to see me there. I've seen them play and they all play at a really high level. So, for this kid, it's a definite no.
However, during the school year, I do play intramurals with my sorority. The school has campus wide tournaments and does every sport known to man: flag football, nerf football, water polo, ultimate frisbee, etc. Those are a lot of fun for me because my sisters know I suck at sports and there's no judgement (or me feeling judged). However, there are several funny stories involving me falling down a lot during flag football and my inability to catch during kickball... :^: |
Word...meeting people after college is hard! I've heard tell of a Monday night pickup volleyball game that I just need to get up the guts to go try...
