Hey Ruby! I def know what it feels like to be stuck at a weight forever! lol Here's to pushing forward. It's time! :o)
Loquacious - Hey welcome! Hopefully you got a pass on the drinking this weekend. I'm in Upstate NY too... Syracuse here. |
You know, Ruby, looking at the delicious pizzas on your blog, I can see why you're addicted. Only eat bad tasting ones, and that should help ;)
I actually went up this week, on Sunday, to 142 - 143. I ate like a fiend and didn't go running at all. I've also been drinking very little water and faaaar too much coffee. I've had mad sweets cravings (either TOM or an indulgence that started a landslide) and have also noticed that I've been eating significantly less protein. So, on to eating protein and drinking water. Ugh. |
Hi TL! I'm passing on drinking this weekend...since I'm running my first 5K and I really don't want to mess it up because my muscles were still recovering... That would suck. I'm a Bf-lo girl myself. :)
I need to start drinking more water. Despite cutting calories/massive workout drenched in sweat, I was bloated from a lack of water...and didn't see progress. :( Just saying, but there were two really skinny girls working out next to me when I was on both the treadmill/elliptical today, and I dominated them in speed/endurance. I was so proud. :D |
Hey everyone!! I'm officially 140.0.. So if all goes well this will be my last post on this thread.. Wish me luck!!
|
Hi Everyone,
I'm jumping in on this thread if it's okay with everyone. I'm trying to get out of the 140s, ASAP!!! I feel like it will probably take another 6 weeks though. I've been following the body for life exercise training program, but I think the key is more cardio and definitely tracking my calories. I HATE LOGGING IN MY FOOD. It has been my one downfall on every single diet attempt. I feel like I eat a lot of ethnic foods that don't have calorie information available. Any ideas? Annie |
Hey Guys,
Just wondering If I could also join this thread.. This is my transition from the 150's thread to the 140's thread.. I am starting off at 148.6.. Nicole |
This weekend my bf and I are going camping in the mountains. We have lots of hiking and outdoor exercise/activities planned. But food is going to be hard! Anyone have any suggestions of things to bring camping for the two of us to eat? We won't have any electricity. It's gonna bo cooooold... but fun!
PS I weighed 148.4 today. |
Hey tigarlily1,
When me and my boyfriend go camping I stay on track by bringing alot of fruits and veggies. Lots of fruits do not need to be refridgerated. Like apples oranges, peaches, nectarines. I also slice up a bunch of carrots, snap peas, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, and baby tomatoes. Then I make a dip out of fat free sour cream or hummis, or I throw in a bottle of lite ranch dressing. Everyone loves raw veggies and dip. Then comes meal time you can always fill up on them, still have your burgers, and bushpies, but make sure you get you veggies in.. Some other really good camping staples that I use are instant oatmeal packages, and granola bars.. Both are really filling.. Lastly keep hydrated.. When me and my boyfriend go camping we drink alot of beer. But pace yourself and drink some water in between beers. That is just what I do.. Also whenever I think of having a second burger or a second hotdog.. I just think of how hard I have worked to get at the weight I am at, then ask myself "is a hotdog really worth screwing up my whole week of weight loss???" Hope this helps!! Nicole |
Thanks s200n... those are some great tips. I especially like the cut up veggies and ranch idea. I think the bf would really enjoy that too. Oatmeal, granola bars, and fruit is another great idea.
Just because I'm curious... whats a bushpie? Never heard of those! |
Bushpies.. are like sandwhichmakers that you can use over the campfire. lol that is the best way I can describe them. They are just a metal thingy that holds slices of bread and whatever filling you like. Then you cook them over the fire. I like to make pizza ones. So you have two pieces of WW bread. Then you put in pizza sauce, chicken, cheese, veggies and cook it over the fire. You can do like ham and cheese.. or whatever you want.. There is probably another name for them, but we call them bushpies.
lol |
Nicole - great ideas! I'm going camping with friends in two weeks and I've been terrified of the sheer horror that it was going to do to all the work I've already done! thanks! :)

Happy dance :carrot: for LeiLah913, 140 on the dot WOW that is amazing, congratz and do come around to check up on us once in the '130s' thread.
:welcome: s200n, congratz on your progress thus far... As for me, I will be weighing in on 30 Sept, I hope I will be around 142 or less... Now that I am getting smaller it is definitely getting more difficult to get the weight off... I will check in again month end... |
Ohhhhh I know what you mean. We call those "camper pies". They're great! We didn't even end up going camping... it was cold and rained all weekend. Boo! :(
|
Hey ladies!!!
I weighed in at a little under 145 yesterday!!!! Halfway out of the 140s!! I'm so excited. I have a big wedding to go to back in my hometown in 3 weeks and I want to be at 142 by then. I'm just going to keep on keeping on! |
I have been gone for a while but I'm back. I am still in the 140's (148), which is fine. I am glad I have not gained any more weight. I joined the Halloween challenge so my goal is to be 143 by halloween. my eating has been a little screwed up lately so I need to start focusing on eating healthy again. I have noticed that I have been better at pushing my plate away when I am full instead of eating it just becasue it's in front of me. I hope everyone has been doing great!
