So the scale is slowly starting to make it's way down again. I weighed in at 141 this morning. I feel as though my weight lose is starting to stall though. Looks like I have to start making a few adjustments again.

loveLauren 08-20-2009 05:11 PM

I feel the same way as some of you guys. I know I'm losing weight. I can see it in pictures and can feel it too sometimes. But I just feel so huge that I wonder sometimes if I'll ever be happy with my weight.

StringBean I'm exactly the same way. I lose weight all at once, and then nothing, nothing, nothing. It gets so discourging sometimes. But even if I fall of the wagon for one meal, its enough to make me feel guilty and get back to dieting!

Exercise has become a chore lately. I think I need to find some good exercises on TV to do. I bought dance dance revolution the other day. I wonder if I can count that as an exercise??

kk140 08-20-2009 11:33 PM

Hey everyone!!
I weighed in at 148.6 this evening! I'm so happy to be here!! But I can't wait to get out too LOL!
Have a great night!

mars540 08-21-2009 02:09 AM

I know it's late here but just wanted to ring in and say that I weighed in at 149.6 this a.m.....hope to be outta here in about 4-5 weeks!!

ETA:I have never been under 149 lbs

StringBean 08-21-2009 04:33 AM

Hello mars540!

Me...144 this morning :( but I'm hoping it's because I did heavier weights yesterday than usual. I'm not changing my ticker back up, dang it!!

loveLauren: dancing is definately exercise in my book!

Jelbb 08-21-2009 06:55 AM

rblace:
Hope it doesn't stall on you honey! Keep your body surprised, keep changing things up... I'm sure you'll do fine!

Lovelauren:
Are you kidding? DDR is sooooo exercise. At least once you start getting into the medium level songs. That game makes me SWEAT, and sweat is exercise!! No idea how many calories you'd burn playing it, but... you know. Exercise is exercise! :P

kk140:
Yay, you're heeeere! Congrats on making it down into the 140s! I'm so proud of you for finally seeing the loss of those last few lbs in the 150s!!!

mars:
Gosh, you would've been a hard baby to push out, never having been under 149 lbs!!!! :o
:p Jokes, sorry, lol... welcome to the thread! You're GONNA be under 149 in NO time, just stick to it! Hope to hear updates from you soon!

stringbean:
It's probably justa little water retention. Don't fret too much honey! You'll be back down in no time. :)

And as for me....
Last night was craaazy hectic, and thankfully, it kept me from snacking, lmao. Southern Ontario doesn't get much in the way of tornados, but... we sure did last night! A local sports store a few blocks from my house lost half of its roof... a branch the size of a tree fell down in our back yard, and there's another tree leaning against our house... the local Walmart Superstore also lost a chunk of its roof, and a lot of powerlines were down. And our city is on a hill, and the lower region got a teensy bit of flooding down by the lake.... CRAZY all in all. And as much as I'm glad I haven't heard of anyone being hurt, and it's horrible that people are going to be out money for damages... I am a bit pleased that my driving around and surveying the city's damage with my stepsister provided a distraction that prevented me from snacking on junk out of boredom!

This morning I weighed in at 145.4! It's a loss, and I'll take it, baby! I'm just SO thrilled not to see a 146-point-anything on the scale, it makes me giddy.

Alright, I've gotta go, I'm working this morning. :) <3 Good luck ladies!

rblace87 08-21-2009 08:33 AM

After getting into a calorie counting blunder yesterday (I miscounted a few things by almost 400 calories!) I changed things up a bit unintentionally and well, I also just got over my TOM. In the process of all of this I lost another pound this morning. I'm down to 140 again. I'm hoping the scale won't go up this time. I'm really looking forward to it reading "139". :)

I must admit, I did give into temptation this morning by eating a jelly filled munchkin someone brought into the break room at work with the thought "Oh this can't be over 25 calories." Boy was I wrong! That little bugger is 60 calories! I'm kind of ashamed because I just got done eating breakfast and that 60 calories that came from that munchkin could of gone towards my lunch like a nice piece of fruit that would of been much more filling :(

forestroad 08-21-2009 10:08 AM

Jelbb- I watched the youtube video, and that looked intense! I've never lived anywhere with tornados. Congrats on another day below 146 :)

rblace- Hey, shame never helped anyone lose weight, so focus on the fact that you had just one munchkin, and it was only 35 calories more than you thought you were eating. Be happy you gave yourself a treat, which I assume you enjoyed (filling-ness not withstanding), and move on :) You will be seeing those 130s in no time!

mars540 and kk140- :welcome:

me- I'm creeping back up from my ridiculously dehydrated day; I was 145 this morning at the gym. I was actually expecting a bit lower bc my scale at home was showing a hair below 145, and it usually weighs me heavy, but no worries, I'm still where I want to be. If I lose any more weight I'm definitely going to have to invest in some new bras, and I am so broke right now!

StringBean 08-21-2009 11:14 AM

forestroad - I hear you about the bra thing - I'm right in between sizes and I don't want to invest in new bras until I'm down to goal.

Jelbb - small world...I was born in Toronto and went to Queens where I experienced the ice storm of 1997...remember that little jem? The uni was closed for 2 weeks...memories! And congrats on the weight loss - keep it up baby!!

souvenirdarling 08-21-2009 11:30 AM

Jellbb, you must have been terrified! I remember when I was living in a suburb south of Montreal, looking up at the sky and seeing it was a funny colour, dark but light at the same time. I was like "Hey, Mom, the sky is green like in [the movie] Twister!" It turns out there was a tornado a few towns away. Ugh.

Stringbean, I remember the ice storm rather unfondly. Someone of us only had it bad for a few days, neighbors were down for weeks. I think we lost a month or two of school, then because the schools became shelters.

I feel irked about bras because I've just picked up a few - I just couldn't wait any longer. I have many really great clothing items I'll be sorry to have to give away/sell... but I won't be sorry to lose the weight!

canadia 08-21-2009 04:37 PM

I was really bad last night and had drinks and french fries, on top of three square meals. It was delicious though, so I don't feel too bad about it.

canadia 08-21-2009 04:38 PM

mars540: Welcome!

Jelbb: Yikes! That's so scary.

canadia 08-21-2009 06:39 PM

Whoops, double post.

mars540 08-21-2009 11:59 PM

Hi guys!!

stringbean:don't change that ticker girl!!

jelbb : very funny haha!! ok so I haven't been under 149 since I turned 2
