Hey ladies. I am here at work on my lunch break and wanted to pop in and say hi. I will have to do personals later. Typing that much on my blackberry will only hurt my thumps. Being surrounded by endless fries and chocolate cake is NOT fun. But I am making it through. I am going to a salsa event tonight. Haven't been to one in weeks. I am so excited. Lastly I had weigh in yesterday. 181.8. I am so close to bring out of the 180s I can taste it. Okay back to work so I can peace out of here. Have a fantastic day (sorry everything is together. I can't figure out the spacing on here)

Shelly - thats awesome, i'm glad you got to see it live, i have no idea what it is, but I still think it's cool, i'm all about live performances!! I read Wicked, and was so happy to see it on broadway!!! I had to read the rest of his books, they are fantastic!

Jade - definitely all about the food, sometimes its a good thing, but mostly its all bad for you, but oh so good! I swear Cook Yourself thin got in my head and stole the idea from me! hahaha, I dont pay attention to baseball, but my roommate turns it there all the time, but we mainly watch the dbacks who SUCK!

chele - another roommate of mine is all about the red sox, its funny cause my BF has to give him a hard time and will always cheer for the other time. I don't care, but it is funny, then he starts saying wicked smart or wicked sweet! hahaha! I need to visit MA once! I totally agree with you about biking and walking, it never feels the same to me. Don't worry about it though, as long as you are doing something it shouldn't be too hard to get back to the gym when you finally can! My routine is screwed this month, so i'm doing my best to get over it and just get something done!

Amy - so glad to hear the news about your brother!!!! GOOD LUCK WITH CLASS

Luvja - :highfive: frigginsweet cheeka! BOO overnights, you are going to be TIRED! I didnt know you finally got a job though, thats what happens when i go MIA, congrats girly, alll late style

stella - hope you get some endorphins today!! I hate those slump days!!

Star - hope you have fun on salsa night, I love doing that and haven't foudn anyone willing to do it with me in years boo!
no seriously have fun girly

Lissa - SWEET, 180's here you come! You will be fine, at WI, congrats girl hope it stays for offical weigh in!

Ok, so today is day 3 of Fat Smash Phase 1, 9 day detox, and it's going pretty good! I drink wine every day, and we normally finish 3 bottle between me and the BF sometimes 4 . SOOOO this is a much needed detox, not to mention that May sucked. I am down 2.2 lbs in 2 days, so that makes me happy but I'm not going to get happy sad or excited about it until i WI on day 10. I'd be lying if i said it wasnt hard, but it really isn't that hard, just have to be creative! Anyway, I haven't gone to the gym at all, but I plan on going today, and the puppy got up early and so i got up and ran around the neighborhood it took me like 10 min to go around once, so I'm going to try and do it again tomorrow morning, jsut to get in like 40 min cardio! anywhooooooooo blabbering on!!! Happy Wednesday ladies!

chele - I've always been a Phillies fan, but if I had to back another team it would definitely be the Red Sox. I was surrounded by die hard fans at school and they rubbed off on me.

Luvja - yay on the loss!

Star - Salsa sounds like fun. Do you dance a lot? I'm really bad at it, but i'm working on my coordination.

Lissa - YAY! You are rocking girl. I think if you continue to work real hard, you may just see 160s by the end of the summer

DanSinDeva - My family is real Italian, so you know all the food is terrible for you, but you just can't stop eating. I've heard of fat smash, but I don't really know much about it. What are you doing to stick to the program?

Was up at work early today, but home by 1, which was nice. I've been taking care of my dad. He had surgery to fix a hernia, which went great, but he's not really supposed to move for a couple of days. I did manage to squeeze a half hour in on the treadmill today. I got my mile back down to 16:30. I think at this rate I can be back at 13:45 by the end of june. I'm going to attemp to run 3 miles by the end of the summer. I think that's pretty doable, and allows for some setbacks. I get my period on sunday, and combined with the salty foods i've been eating, i can already feel the bloat. here's hoping it doens't last too long.
I'm off to see my boyfriend as soon as my mom gets home, so I will catch you lovely ladies later.

Hello all,

Blah. Last night, Frodo decided to play chicken with a HUGE tomcat last night and to make a long story short, Frodo was fine, tomcat was fine, but the screen on my window is NOT fine... tomcat put three huge gashes in the windowscreen. Yet another thing to be damaged before I move. *rolls eyes*

Not only that, Frodo was spooked by this tomcat, and was literally screeching at the top of his lungs ALL night. And being that I startle easy, it's been one heck of a time, and I got maybe two hours of sleep when I found a way to keep both Frodo and tomcat from seeing each other.

On a happier note, I got an invite to an exhibit opening a few days before I leave on my trip to Baltimore. It's supposed to be really fun, and a good opportunity to dress up and look nice.

Speaking of looking nice, I have lost two pounds this week, no doubt from the adrenaline surges of new. And I WILL get back doing the 30DS, as soon as I get over the absolutely agonizing pain from the first day's workout.

Welp, I have a date with my bed, ya'll. Will return this evening after I have some snooze.

Tired M

P.S. Personals coming soon. Right now I am too tired to think.

DanSinDeva - Well, I've worked for this company for a while now. They just normally don't have hours to give me. It's a home care nursing agency. So I only get shifts when they have them! Hours are not gauranteed.

I get daily emails from torrid.com. Does anyone else get these? There is something very LOL worthy however it pisses me off that they not only photoshopped this girl and but that they also did such a bad freakin job.

Ha, I need to go to Torrid. I have the Paramore/No Doubt concert next weekend and there's a whole group of us going. We're going to get all dressed up (I'm dying my hair purple) and act like teenagers. Did I mention we'll be in the pit?

I just need to get some sort of funky outfit, as I do not have any of those.

Jade - the first 9 days is detox, so no meat, pasta, or white potatoes, you can eat all the fresh fruit and veggies you can stand, beans/legumes, and up to 2 cups of rice per day, nothing to drink but water and 2 cups of herbal decaf tea. It's a little more specific, but not that much, so I'm eating salad like crazy, and fruits, and then like some kind of fried rice at night. I'm not sure if i'm going to go to phase 2, because this is really just like WW Core or Simply filling, and that's what I normally do, but i wasn't losing anything so i wanted to try something different. You will totally get 3 miles in by the end of the summer, no problemo! I need to get back to that too, I want to consistently run 3 miles at a good pace for at least a couple months, I'm so lazy though. Haha! Hope you had fun times with the boyfriend! Did the sox win last night?

Shelly - aww pooor Frodo! Nice new avatar though! I love pendant necklaces, I've yet to find a good one though...What kind of exhibt are you going too? Sounds interesting! GOOD JOB On the 2lbs!!!

Luvja - aww, that stinks! I guess overnights aren't so bad then, but MAN i do hate them it always feels like you are missing out on something!

Stella - That's AWESOME, Paramore/No Doubt was just here at last month, I missed it BOOO! My neice went for her promotion from 8th to high school, sounds funny i know, but I was planning my dad's b-day and missed it! I LOVE NO DOUBT and paramore is pretty cool too!!! I'm jealous I love acting like a teenager, I'll probably never stop!

Lissa - what a great hubby!

Ok, day 4 of detox, its going just fine. I went to the gym yesterday and when i came home my BF was making us broiled portabellas stuffed with brown rice, no sodium added tomatoe sauce, red onions and green bell peppers, it was kinda of bland, but we added garlic and it was delish, I always add some kind of salsa so i sprayed it with some siracha and some green salsa, so yummy! I didn't want rice, cause i hate eating rice for dinner, any carb actually, but oh well. weighed exactly the same this morning so I'm not worried! Caamon June 10th, that will be my first day off detox! I WANT COFFEE!!!

YAY FOR FRIDAY THough, even though I'm not drinking. One of my roomies is out of town, and so the rest of us, me, the BF and mason our other roomie are all doing the detox. WE ALL Drink Daily, so this will be interesting to see who cracks first, I just know one of us will not make it through the weekend! hahaha, the wine is calling me, but i gave it the wrong number!

Hey ya'll,

Just checking in. It's been wet and nasty outside all day, I can't wait for the sun to come out again.

Time for personals!!

DanSin
- Thank you! The pendant actually belongs to my mom, who was kind enough to lend me some jewelry since mine is kind of in transit at the moment. The exhibit I'm going to is a photo collection of a guy called Rev. L.O. Taylor, who was supposed to have taken a lot of photos that document African-American religious and cultural events. I have actually been helping work on this exhibit for about six months now, so it's really cool that I get to see it come to fruition before I move.

Stella- Sounds great! I love No Doubt, and they are going to be in St Louis in July I think. Gotta love the purple hair as well, I once dyed my hair purple and black and it looked absolutely brilliant (this is in addition to the blue, teal, orange, red, and pink that I have also dyed my hair in the past, lol)! I'm hoping that college will provide me a safe haven in which to experiment with different clothing styles.

Bee- Definitely looks photoshopped to me as well. And it looks like the model in the purple dress had her legs changed around too, but it could just be the lighting. Clothes are very nice though, I like the purple dress especially.

Lissa- Sounds like a cool guy.

Me- I am SO looking forward to this weekend. Am planning to cuddle up with a book I've been reading before it gets packed away, and I am also going to see My Life In Ruins on Friday. I need a good-humored love story to alleviate away some of the stress I've been feeling lately.

The good thing about this movie theater is that it's pretty liberal on what it serves, so they actually have fruit at the movie theater (grapes and strawberries, which are my fruits of choice) and it's good too. The only bad thing is that tickets are $10 a person now with the economy being bad. Before the probs, they were $8.50.

Only a week until I move!!! Can't wait to see my mom and dad!

Enjoy your evening!

M

Hey Ladies!

Bee - that is SO photoshopped. It looks like they cut and pasted the legs on a few of them.

Shelly - I LOVE No Doubt. This will be the third time I've seen them since I was 18. Definitely one of my favorite bands. They say you regress after a parent dies. That happened to me and I'm about 21 right now (mentally). So much fun.

DanSin - Good luck! One of the girls in my WW group is doing FatSmash at the same time as WW (kind of a dare) and she's lost so much weight. I'm tempted to try it, but I don't have that much will power.

LuvJa - that kind of sucks about overnight, but at least they have hours for you

As for me, the day started off kind of rough. I haven't been getting a lot of gym time lately, so I was kind of in a funk, and that prevented me from getting out of bed this morning. I should have taken a mental health day yesterday to recover from my trip, but it didn't happen, so I did it today. I got up at 11:30, went to the gym, then went to get my oil changed in my car. After that I spent the afternoon painting pottery, then my friend Jessie met me at the movies and we saw Night at the Museum 2. I'm out of my slump and kind of excited to get up and exercise tomorrow.

HI girls!

I am still alive and doing REALLY well.

June 6th marked 6 months cigarette and diet coke free for me and so my boyfriend and I celebrated by adding a new member of our family. A black lab/golden retriever mix named Molly.

She is AWESOME - and I can tell that having a dog it really going to a great addition to my healthy lifestyle because walks are a must!

We are going to take her camping with us when we go in June, too! And we got her enrolled in classes to train - even though she now knows her new name, walks on a lease, doesn't really bark and is potty trained.

Oh, and she and my cat (Missy) get along famously - like they were made for each other!!

I am just so happy. Then when our apartment lease is up in 5 months Chris and I are going to look at renting a house!

I also got measured today by my trainer and I have lost 2.5 inches in the last two weeks!

I haven't been really constant with my workouts this week (only made it in twice and tomorrow will be three) but I am sure once we get the dog on a schedule it will be much better.

Another thing about it is that now I have to get up MUCH earlier then I am used to - like 6:30am to let the dog out and I prefer, oh, 9. But I beginning to like getting up earlier and getting the day started! Nothing happens if you are in bed (except sleep...I do love sleep)

Stella I take mental health days, too. I think they we all need them and it sounds like you had a great day and I am happy you are excited to get up and workout tomorrow!

miss shelly Fruit at a movie theater? How wonderful! I think it stinks that tickets are now 10 bucks! Grr

DansDiva I totally hear you on the wine! I love it! I allow myself a few glasses on sunday with my dad and that's about it. - Drinking is not that hard for me in moderation - how about just buying one bottle and sharing it after your detox? I know it's hard at first - it was for me - but worth it! No coffee???? How are you doing that??

bee I love torrid - but I gotta kinda pick through their stuff to find things that I like - but when I do I wear it forever. That girl looks horrible - I would be pissed if I were her! Hows your grandpa?

Brie I hope you feel better! I know you gotta sinus infection - get some sleep pretty girl!

Hi girlies. I feel like it's been a while since I have been on here. I've been working nightshifts for the last couple nights. Needless to say, I AM TIRED. I have an issue with sleeping during the day, I can never do it for a long period of time. The sunlight bothers me. I have been drinking too much coffee though. If I'm feeling up to it in a bit, I'm going to use my elliptical. I haven't used it since Wednesday. Yikes!

I missed you all.
