Default The 100 Push Up Challenge

Basically I am following the 100 Hundred Push Up Challenge form this website. Here is the link http://hundredpushups.com/index.html

So you take the intial test and figure out where you fit in. I want to tone my upper body (including arms and boobs) without having to do a million machines while waiting 45 minutes at the gym.

I am gonna keep this thread up to date and post my progress. Anyone who is interested is free to join in.

Today is Week 1 Day 2 for me. I am using column number 2 for my workouts. For the last set (the max) I actually collapsed at number 3! Now my arms feel like noodles....but I know I gave it 100%. I wonder should I take measurements. Not sure because if I build muscle not sure if that would change the overall measurment. Any thoughts on this?

I am with you on the not wanting to use a million different machines to get what one old method will do. I cannot even do a whole push up. I used the exercise ball method, which put me closer than I have ever been to doing a real push up....... so I am going to start this way. I would love to be at 100 by the end of the year. I did not go to the website so I am not sure of the criteria.....

Anyone can do it. Just start with week 1 column one and repeat that week until you can finish it.

I'm currently repeating week 5 day 3 for the third time. I just can't seem to get past that last day, but I started off with terrible form and now I have great form and can knock out 30+ pushups at a time, so the program works.

They also have a link to the 200 situps challenge, and I do them together.

Anyway, just wanted to say good luck and that the program DOES work

ladyrider - yeah I agree with Joyful, just go to the site at week one and do the first column. Don't forget to rest inbetween the days (like I did) or you're gonna pay for it....HAhA

Jahjah - Wow I can't wait for week five. I am sooooo sore....including my abs for helping holding me up...

Joyful - I looked up the sit-up challenge and I think I may do them together like you. Thanks for the suggestion

Yikes - - so I thought sounded cool, and I tried it. Managed 4 push-ups...and ouch.

But I like this challenge, so I think I'll start it...even doing 10 consecutive push-ups seems like a pretty sweet accomplishment.

Welcome everybody Let's do it.

For the intial day I eeked out 7! SO even if I can do 25 at the end of this I will be thrilled!

My arms are rubber. I could barely hold the flat iron up this morning and every turn of wheel on the way to work I could feel it from my shoulders to my obliques....YAY!

Ooh, this looks good! I've never been even able to do even one! (Which brings back embarrassing gym class memories, that and the "flexed arm hang" which I couldn't hold for even a second!)

I'm not 20something but I am doing this to. I started a while back but I got sick so I am starting over. I am determined to do them unmodified versions, I am doing column 1, Day 2 today. I am doing the 200 sit up challenge to.
