I am in the same boat - TOM arrived for me yesterday.
Try working out.. It REALLY worked for me. Nothing big or crazy but 20-30 minutes on the treadmill and some stretching and the hunger will ease
I know that's the last thing on your mind right now, but it really worked for me.

Ha! Yeah... that IS the last thing on my mind right now! I haven't been to the gym in a few days. I need to pull myself together! AHH! But maybe I can justify letting myself have the cheeseburger if I exercise this week. I'll see if my body is ready to negotiate tomorrow morning.

mmm...I had my burger, it was fantastic lol
It was a healthy burger, can't justify a fast food burger when it's not TOM lol

When I get sweet cravings, I have some skinny cow ice cream sandwiches in my freezer. They are 2-3 points (I can't remember which) and pretty tasty too! When I do feel the need to want to "pig out" on Fast Food, I always go to subway and get a healthy sub. Or I go to Wendy's and get some chili and a salad.
Speaking of TOM, it visited me yesterday, so I am right there with you guys! I am always looking for healthier versions of things as I am adament about my fiance and I NOT going out for food. Because I don't add all that extra grease and loads of fat that the FF places do.
If you REALLY want French Fries... I found a really good recipe! You take two potatoes and slice them up like fries, and then whip an egg white or two in a bowl until it's frothy. Then, throw in and coat the potatoes (season it with pepper... i dont even use salt anymore!) and bake for 10 minutes at 425 degrees, flip them over and bake for another 15-20 minutes. Super yummy!
Also, there are a TON of varations for a traditional hamburger. Now that you guys have been talking about them, I think that's what I'm doing for dinner tonight. Turkey Mushroom Burgers that are on the Asian side... yum.
It isnt even 6 am yet and I'm already talking about dinner... I am a foodie for sure.
I have a ton of cookbooks at my house, most of which really healthy ones, so if anyone ever needs a new recipe to try out, just let me know and I can get it to you!!

Lol I just asked this 2 or 3 days ago and I swear I thought I'd eat everything in the pantry and fridge! I don't have a sweet tooth usually though I crave salty/fatty stuff. I've found that V8 helps my salt cravings a lot! Yes it does have a lot of salt but I drink a lot of water to counter act that and there's no fat! My cravings are pretty much gone now, it's just the days leading up to TOM that are hard once it freakin gets here the ravenous monster in me goes into hiding for another month.

I also think posting here helps as well. It's good to remember how far you've come already, how you're an inspiration to many people by already losing over 25 pounds, and how you really couldn't have done that without making hard decisions sometimes.
I know it's a craving, but like Dr. Gallo says, you've come too far to take orders from a piece of dead meat!!

UPDATE!!!
So I had that bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries for lunch today, and I am honestly glad I did. It was very very yummy, and it also satisfied my gut-wrenching craving. If anyone has ever been to Phil's Icehouse in Austin, I'm sure you understand!
I know it's unhealthy, and I know it will set me back a little this week, but it was an exception. It doesn't mean that I have screwed up big time or that I should give up on my goals completely. I've learned that I have to allow myself to eat foods like this every now and then (especially around TOM when my appetite is being irrational!) Otherwise I think I would be more likely to give up for good. I just love certain foods too much, and it isn't realistic for me to eliminate them from my life completely. I can't! I would be too depressed over it. And I am sure some people will think that's weak, but that's just me. I really really enjoy food. Everything in moderation. The difference is that the "new me" is not eating a cheeseburger every day. For that, I am proud.
Another positive: I didn't do this yesterday while I was feeling impulsive and vulnerable. I waited 24 hours and really thought it over. If I had given in yesterday and had not taken time to think about it, I would have probably been incredibly depressed and disappointed in myself afterward. It doesn't have to be that way. I'm not encouraging anyone to eat unhealthy things or sabotage your weight loss efforts. Just think about it first, at least until you're sure you can live with yourself after that cheeseburger is sitting in your belly!

Good Lord, I too have this problem EVERY month and it is right now. I tried eating a few pretzel sticks, but that isn't curbing the want to eat. I am not really hungry, but cannot think of anything but food.
