bread question

i eat whole wheat bread but i'm wondering if i'm eating too much of it. i eat probably about 7-8 slice a week. i live toast in the morning, but i also eat a sandwicha few times a week. is this too much. i guess i figure its ok since its whole wheat, and it a "good" carb. and for fiber also.

Only you can decide what's "good" and "bad" in your diet.. other than things that are really obvious bad choices (eating half a pound of butter a day isn't good on ANY plan, lol).

Whole grains are generally good for you (assuming no medical reasons NOT to eat them), and it's great if it helps you get the fiber you need.

A lot of commercial breads contain high fructose corn syrup or other ingredients that some people try to avoid, some are higher in sodium than others... so if there's anything you're trying to limit in your diet, be sure to read the labels and find a bread that fits for you.

Some people have to really keep their carbs under control, even if they don't have any medical conditions, because they make them hungrier or trigger binges. Some people just lose weight much easier on low-carb diets.

Assuming you can't find any reason NOT to eat the bread, then I say go ahead and enjoy it! I eat a relatively high-carb diet, including about the same amount of bread as you eat, and it doesn't prevent me from losing weight (unless most of those carbs are from junk, because then I just end up eating too much).

I have to be careful eating bread because it makes me crave more starchy things. And I eat weight watchers bread which is 100 calories for 2 pieces, and the slices are pretty small. My boyfriend always makes fun of my tiny bread.

But as long as you don't notice any adverse effects when eating the bread, it should be fine. You're not really eating that much anyway. I was such a breadaholic at my highest weight I could eat half a loaf in a day EASY.

It sounds like you're eating a moderate level, so I wouldn't worry about it personally. You might want to check out the nutritional value of the bread though because buzz words like whole wheat sound healthy but they can still pack a lot of sugar and calories.
