I am developing a healthier relationship with food. I don't deny myself of foods, I just make sure they fit in my calories. Suddenly I don't feel that supreme intense craving for barrels of chocolate and other junky foods.

baby steps.

I got my lab results back today and my cholesterol was PERFECT.
Normal ranges are total < 200, HDL 40-60, LDL 0 - 130, Triglycerides 30-175.

In July last year, my total was 270, HDL 35, LDL 177, Triglycerides 293.
In October it was getting better, but not quite there. Total 167, HDL 47, LDL 78, Triglycerides 211. Everything but Tri were fine.

Today, I found out my total is 132, HDL 47, LDL 62, Triglycerides 117. Yesssss!!!!!

Ok, I know this is more because of my meds than what I eat and do, but I am still very pleased.

AND I was down 15 lbs from my October dr appointment.

This is a good one for me to do today. My day was pretty neutral.

One positive thing about me today is...
I planned a specific treat into my menu today (a rice-crispie bar at the work caf. that I'd been eyeing for days), and I wasn't able to get one. Normally I would've gone out and found a lackluster substitute (ice cream or something), but I just told myself "no big deal" and went home to have my regularly scheduled dinner.

I tried on a skirt for the first time since I put it away last fall and instead of being down about my legs being bigger than I would like, I was instead excited about how they will look so much more toned and sexy when it comes time to actually wear the skirt.

Thank goodness I have 2 months to work on them! Lol

I look pretty good today even though I went out and had a little too much fun last night for St. Patty's.
